Now, the Feast of Winter Veil is back, and this year, World of Warcraft has added a special something for Hunters in particular. During the event, fans who venture into the Old Hillsbrad Foothills, located in the Escape from Durnholde Keep dungeon in the Caverns of Time, will find Dreaming Festive Reindeer around the forests, but only if they are wearing or transmogging a complete Winter Veil outfit or using the Disposable Winter Veil Suit. Hunters who do this will be able to tame both the normal reindeer and the rarer red-nosed versions for themselves, after which they can be used as permanent Tenacity pets all year round.

The Dreaming Festive Reindeer isn’t the only new thing during Winter Veil this year. The daily Abominable Greench encounter has a new mechanic where he spawns presents that can be opened during the battle, and the Stolen Present obtained as loot from defeating him can contain a miniature pet version of the boss called Grunch. What’s more, the holiday vendors in Orgrimmar and Ironforge sell new red and green Winter Veil transmog outfits for a small amount of gold, giving Hunters an easy way to dress up for their Dreaming Festive Reindeer spawns.
Fans hoping to confront the Greench can easily reach him by taking festive sleigh rides from the Father Winter’s Helper from Dornogal to Orgrimmar or Ironforge, and then to the Hillsbrad Foothills. Players should be sure to enjoy the returning festivities involved with this event, and will want to return after December 25, as the gifts under the tree may have special items like the Junior Timekeeper’s Racing Belt toy from World of Warcraft’s 2023 Winter Veil presents.
Fans who need to complete their Traveler’s Log for the December Trading Post catalog in World of Warcraft have plenty of new ways to do so in Winter Veil. Because the event runs through January 5, the last days of Winter Veil will also be a great way for players to get a head start on the first Trading Post rotation of 2025.
