Lego has finally revealed official images, a release date, and the price of an upcoming Batman set we’ve been waiting to hear more about for the past month. A Batman Tumbler set, based on the Batmobile’s design in The Dark Knight trilogy, complete with Minifigures based on the hero and two of his fiercest foes from the second of the three Christopher Nolan movies.
Even though the Batmobile’s design in The Dark Knight is perhaps the biggest step away from how the iconic car looks in almost all other forms of Batman media, it has become one of the most recognizable due to the success of the movie in which it was featured. This isn’t the first time the Tumbler has been turned into Lego, but it will be much cheaper than the prior Batmobile set. The older Tumbler also isn’t available anymore due to it being retired.

If the leak is real, it will be the most expensive Lego set to date.
The simplified version of the Tumbler Batmobile set is 429 pieces, so quite a bit smaller and less complex than the original Tumbler that clocked in at more than 1,800 pieces. That also means it will be significantly cheaper at $59.99, so just a fifth of what the old set retailed for. Even though its listing is now live, you can neither buy nor pre-order the newest Batman Lego set just yet. You won’t be able to do that until January 1, 2025.

Why So Serious? It’ll Be Here Soon Enough
What the new Batmobile lacks in pieces compared to its predecessor it makes up for in Minifigures. The prior set only included a single Joker figure and didn’t even come with a Batman. There are three characters from The Dark Knight with this new set – another Joker based on Heath Ledger’s take on the character, a Batman Minifigure to drive the Batmobile, and Two-Face, one of the other villains troubling Batman throughout what is widely regarded as one of the best superhero movies to this day.
Batman Tumbler vs. Two-Face & The Joker
Lego has turned the Tumbler Batmobile from Batman’s Dark Knight trilogy into a set releasing on January 1, 2025. Unlike the now-retired Tumbler Batmobile set that was quite a bit bigger, this one includes more Minifigures with Batman, The Joker, and Two-Face its stars.
New Year’s Day is typically quite a busy one for Lego and 2025’s opening gambit will be no different. A Marvel Logo set from which superheroes will quite literally jump out will be released on January 1, as will a range of new Sonic sets, one of which will include the first-ever Super Shadow Minifigure. Nintendo’s debuting Mario Kart sets will also be available to buy starting on the same day, a range that has been hyped throughout most of 2024.
