It’s been a little over two weeks since Marvel Rivals launched, and the meta is still being worked out. There are characters that are certainly disliked more than others (looking at you, Jeff the Land Shark, Iron Fist, Hela, and Hawkeye), but the debate still rages about whom the best character really is, if there is even such a thing.
One player, however, has taken things into their own hands, analyzing the results of over 75,000 Marvel Rivals matches to figure out who the characters with the highest win rates are.
Marvel Rivals Most Successful Character Has Been Determined
The research was completed by Reddit user Gostwolker, who looked at matches from Marvel Rivals’ top players to determine the meta. Their findings were as follows:

Gostwalker found that, of Marvel Rivals’ 33 characters, Hulk had the highest win rate. The margins were tight, though, with only 0.19 percent separating the top three. Wolverine took second place, while Mantis took third. Magik and Adam Warlock rounded out the top five, while Peni Parker, Loki, Psylocke, Rocket Racoon, and Hela made the top ten. Conversely, Scarlet Witch, Cloak and Dagger, and Jeff the Land Shark had the worst win percentage of all heroes.

The research also looked at which characters were picked the most, with Luna Snow dominating, appearing in 59.66 percent of all matches. Mantis was second, over ten percent lower, with a 48.58 percent pick rate, and Doctor Strange was third, with a 45.79 percent rate.
In Rivals, players have the opportunity to ban one character pre-match, something which Gostwalker also looked at. Hela was the most popular ban, being removed from 35.44 percent of games, with Hawkeye second, banned from 33.24 percent, and Psylocke third, with a ban rate of 17.02 percent.
It’s a really interesting piece of research, and one which Gostwalker has turned into its own website. With plenty of characters still to be added, it will be interesting to see how things evolve.
