KRAFTON India has revealed its comprehensive Esports roadmap for the first half (H1) of 2025 for its leading battle royale title Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). There are also new programs being introduced, majorly the Rising Star initiative for the growth of the competitive gaming scene in the country.

BGIS 2025 and BMPS 2025 set to roll

The flagship BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA SERIES (BGIS) 2025 is set to kick off with registrations opening on January 3, 2025. This year’s BGIS boasts a prize pool of ₹2 crore ($23,500) and will culminate in a LAN Finals event in Kolkata, scheduled for April 2025.

Following BGIS, the BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA PRO SERIES (BMPS) 2025 will provide a competitive stage for the nation’s top professional teams. With an equal prize pool of ₹2 crore, this will be an invite-only event.

Nurturing talent with the Rising Star initiative

The Rising Star program aims to empower emerging esports players and creators by offering mentorship opportunities. The program focuses on improving live streaming techniques, developing content strategies for social media, and building strong personal branding for participants. Expanding the Esports College Campus Tour

Continuing its efforts to engage students, KRAFTON will expand its Esports College Campus Tour in 2025. With a prize pool exceeding ₹2 crore, individual host colleges will receive over ₹2 lakh ($2,350) in prize money. The tour has already reached institutions like IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, and K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering, with plans to visit even more campuses in the coming year.
