A spooky date for two lovebats? Yes please.
The Fallen Fortress has many secrets, but you can’t get in right away. We’ll walk you through how to prove yourself as a knight and lower the drawbridge so you can enter the Fairy Tale Trial.
How To Unlock The Fallen Fortress
To unlock the Fallen Fortress, make your way to the westernmost region of Everafter. Take the small slope up to the giant wall of ink and interact with it. Merida will appear and offer to help clear it away with 5,000 Storybook Magic.
Once you’ve cleared away the inkies, you can enter the Fallen Fortress. The quest will begin immediately, offering only a hint of what to do next: explore.
Continue further back into the region along the western edge. You’ll find the ruins of a fortress there, along with a raised drawbridge and an ominous clue about how to lower it. The only one who might know more is Flynn Rider, so make a trip to see him.
How To Craft The Fairytale Armor
When you speak to Flynn, he’ll share all he knows about the drawbridge and the remains of the fortress. To prove yourself as a knight and lower the bridge, you’ll need a suit of armor. Flynn gives you a sketch he made, and you’re tasked with gathering the materials.
Make sure to open the sketch in your inventory to learn the crafting recipe!
To make the armor, you’ll need the following:
- Five iron ingots
- Three white roses
- Two opals
- Two star sapphires
With everything in your inventory, make your way to a Crafting Station and put it all together. Return to Flynn to show him your work.
How To Lower The Drawbridge
The armor alone isn’t enough, so you’ll need a few more things. Firstly, convince Flynn to be your squire. It won’t take much, given he’s sworn to help you anyway. Then, you need to accomplish a task only a true knight could: taming a dragon!
Feed the baby dragons in Everafter until you unlock one as a companion. This can take several days if you’re just starting, so be patient. Thankfully, this is an optional objective in case you’re in a hurry.
Simply equip the armor and invite Flynn to hangout with you. Then, hurry back to the drawbridge to lower it now that you’re a true knight! Cross over and use your Royal Net to interact with the spinning wheel and open the portal to the Fairy Tale Trial.
