Many players were frustrated with the first SP Emblem Event, since a win streak feels like it requires a lot of luck, but the current event only requires you to win a lot of matches, not maintain a streak. Dust off your deck and get ready to battle!
What Is The Mystical Island Emblem Event?
The Mystical Island Emblem Event is a player-vs-player (PVP) event that runs from December 20, 2024 until January 10, 2025. That gives you three whole weeks in total to earn all the emblems, Shinedust, and Pack Hourglasses that you want.
Events in Pokemon TCG Pocket are based on Central Time, with the same start and end times worldwide. Check your in-game prompts for the correct start and end times in your time zone.
Like the Genetic Apex Emblem Event, the Mystical Island Emblem Event asks you to win a set number of Versus Battles in order to earn emblems, but doesn’t require you to maintain a winning streak.
Mystical Island Emblem Event Missions And Rewards
Most players will only be interested in the opportunity to earn new emblems for their profile, but there are also several missions to complete along the way to earn Pack Hourglasses and Shinedust.

Mystical Island Emblem Event Tips
- The focus of this event is winning a lot of matches, not on maintaining a streak or a certain win ratio. So, even with a starter deck, you should be able to earn the top emblem just by playing a whole bunch of games.
- Don’t burn yourself out, though: the event runs for three weeks, so you only need to average two to three wins per day. Earning a bunch of wins early means that there’s less pressure later, so you can grind on your free time instead of trying to play catch-up.
-
To make it easier to earn wins, think about which decks you’re most likely to encounter. Pikachu ex still makes up a big part of the meta, and players with access to the cards are likely to try out the new Celebi ex/Serperior archetype.
- Both of these make Arcanine ex or Arcanine ex/Charizard ex decks a good bet to earn wins fast.
- Earning emblems requires you to win event matches, but the other missions only require you to participate in and win versus matches. You can take advantage of the “Thanks Lobby” to earn those wins fast if you don’t want to grind out a few more matches.
