It has been confirmed that Blue Box’s second cour will begin with the 13th episode on January 2nd, 2025. So, fans will not have to wait for too long to see their beloved characters back in action. Once the cour finishes, it is likely that the anime’s second season will be announced.

Blue Box Cast & Staff
Blue Box’s second cour will not undergo too many changes, especially when it comes to the core members. So, most of the cast members will be reprising their roles for the next cour.

Kouji Miura’s Blue Box began serializing in the Weekly Shonen Jump in April 2021. So far, a total of 18 volumes of the manga have been published. The sales number for the manga is speculated to be around 4 million copies. While the number is not as high, especially in comparison to some of the other Weekly Shonen Jump titles. However, the anime’s release is helping the series. In fact, the manga sold nearly 50k copies within just three days. This number is bound to improve further once the second cour begins airing.
Blue Box’s anime adaptation was announced in November 2023. However, the anime premiered nearly a year later in October 2024. Official Hige Dandism’s Same Blue was the opening song for the first cour; meanwhile, Eve’s Teenage Blue was selected to be the ending song.
Blue Box focuses on Taiki Inomata, a student at Eimei Junior and Senior High. He is a member of the badminton team, but he is hardly considered an outstanding player. Taiki is aware of his shortcomings, which is why he goes to the gym early to train. His timing coincides with that of Chinatsu Kano, who leads a completely different life. Slowly, Taiki begins to develop a crush on her, which leads to the onset of an interesting relationship between the two.
