Dragon Quest 11 introduces a unique combat status called Pep Up, which can randomly happen during battle. Players can use an individual character’s Pep status to use a powerful attack or useful spell, or combo multiple character’s Pep together to unleash powerful combo attacks against their enemies.
Pep Pips are useful items that can automatically trigger Pep on any party member, but Pep Pops trigger it for the entire party. Pep Pops are mostly an endgame item, which will first require you to beat the main story before being able to get them regularly; here’s where to get them.

Dragon Quest 11 S adds a whole new act filled with content. Here are 10 things to do after completing Square Enix’s JRPG on the Nintendo Switch.
Where To Get Pep Pops In Dragon Quest 11
The most straightforward way to get Pep Pops in Dragon Quest 11 is by buying them in the General Goods store in Cobblestone after it has been rebuilt after finishing the main story and progressing through the true final act of the game. After reaching the true endgame, head back to Cobblestone to find Gemma, who will begin the Cobblestone’s Comfort quest, with the general goods store reopening after it is complete.
- Pep Pop costs 200,000 gold a piece.
- When used in battle, the entire active party enters the Pep state.
While the cost is steep, it is easier to farm money than actual Pep Pops. If you wish to try to steal them from a monster, first make sure Erik has the Half-Inch skill and his deftness is very high. Progress through the main story of the endgame until you reach Trial Isle, where you can complete the Trials of The Luminary. Inside the main build of Trial Island, interact with the seedling on the right pedestal to enter the Citadel Of Spite.
Head into the dungeon until you reach the large multi-leveled circular structure and drop down to the bottom to get a dragon mount. Ride up to the third floor, getting the other mount to walk over the electrical fields and start fighting the slot machine monsters called Gold Grabbers.
Gold Grabbers can drop Pep Pips or you can steal them.
While you’ll engage the Gold Grabbers, there is a very low chance of the gold variety of slot machine enemies spawning called Fortune Filchers. These monsters have a chance of dropping Pep Pops, with your odds being a lot better when trying to steal them. While this is an option, Fortune Filchers have a very low chance of spawning, so buying Pep Pops is your better option.
