Activision released a new update for Call of Duty: Warzone, tweaking the in-game audio, fixing bugs, as well as adjusting a few weapons. As expected, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone continue to get updates on a weekly basis, bringing about fixes and changes to various issues.
December has seen plenty of changes to the Call of Duty experience, as Black Ops 6 and Warzone saw the major Season 1 Reloaded update arrive earlier this month. Following previous “reloaded” style updates in years past, the patch added a ton of new content like maps and game modes, alongside fixes and balance adjustments. While large updates like that aren’t the norm, the Call of Duty series taps into its live service nature to keep the game feeling fresh with smaller patches.

As expected, Thursday brings a new update to Call of Duty: Warzone, though this week’s patch is a little lighter than in weeks prior. As previously teased, Call of Duty: Warzone now has the AMR Mod 4 Sniper Rifle ready for use. Fans should keep in mind that this update has also restricted the AMR Mod 4 CHF barrel attachment, while it removed the restriction from both the COR 45 Pistol and Saug Akimbo Attachment.
Call of Duty: Warzone audio is always a hot button topic with fans and this update tweaks things a little bit. Specifically, this update reduces the environmental reverb effects across all player, friendly and enemy footsteps, as well as the volume for first-person player footsteps. To counter that last point, the volume for enemy footsteps has been increased, hopefully helping players hear their surroundings better than before.
Alongside all of these changes and updates, Call of Duty has also embraced the holiday season with new cosmetics and more in the Merry Mayhem event. “CODMAS” kicked off in both Warzone and Black Ops 6 with limited time modes and plenty of unlockables. Archie’s Festival Frenzy arrived this week and in it, players can unwrap gifts by exchanging Jolly Archies. These can be found by earning eliminations in multiple and zombies or by looting them during Warzone matches.
