Peaky Blinders fans may have been heartbroken that a seventh season of the British period crime drama TV series never did materialize but, thankfully, there will be a Netflix movie about the iconic show and its title has been revealed along with artwork of Cillian Murphy. The forthcoming movie starring Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby will follow on from the story the show left off in its sixth season and will depict the Shelbys during the Second World War.
The Peaky Blinders movie was first teased back in 2022 and since then, a large portion of its star-stunned cast has been revealed, which will give fans a lot to be excited about. Along with Oppenheimer‘s Murphy, Dune‘s Rebecca Ferguson, Reservoir Dogs‘ Tim Roth, This is England star Stephen Graham, and The Banshees of Inisherin’s Barry Keoghan will be joining the lineup of talent. Just like the TV show, the Peaky Blinders movie will be set in Birmingham between 1919 and 1934, where viewers will witness the rise and fall of the Shelby family as they navigate a world wracked with radical social, economic, and political change.

Peaky Blinders Movie Finally Gets Its Name
The Peaky Blinders movie name has finally been confirmed on Instagram by Nadia Stacey, who is a hair and makeup set artist on the project. In the post, Stacey shared a stunning piece of art that illustrated Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby alongside Barry Keoghan in black and gold tones so it keep within its gloomy and serious vibe. The post included a caption that revealed what the movie would be called, saying “THE IMMORTAL MAN – Peaky Blinders the movie. One of my favorite jobs ever.” Even though the movie title seems to be genuine, seeing as it comes from someone who works on the set, The Immortal Man title hasn’t been confirmed by Netflix just yet.
It was revealed in August that Barry Keoghan would star in the anticipated movie, but so far, it’s not clear who the actor will be jumping into the role of. Another aspect of the movie that is still a mystery is its story, but according to Keoghan in a recent interview, he said that he had read the script and it was “Epic. It’s so f**king epic.” Peaky Blinders creator, Steven Knight, has previously said that that Tommy Shelby will have a chance to redeem himself from his past crimes in the movie.“My intention has always been to redeem him so that, in the end, he’s genuinely a good man doing good things,”
Now that the film has wrapped production, Peaky Blinders fans should get to see more of the movie’s story details, as well as character roles, unravel over the coming months, or sooner. There isn’t an official release date for “The Immortal Man”, but now that it has finished filming, the movie could come out towards the end of 2025 or early 2026. In the meantime, all six seasons of Peaky Blinders are available to stream on Netflix.
