In a recent Directors on Directors conversation with Variety, Reeves spoke to his The Batman cast member Zoe Kravitz (who stars as Selina Kyle) about the upcoming sequel. Reeves confirmed that the film was in the final stages of scripting, saying: “We’re finishing the script. We’re going to be shooting next year.” Reeves is writing the script with Mattson Tomlin who also co-wrote The Batman. Kravitz also pointed out why the scripting for The Batman – Part II has been moving slowly, revealing that it’s Reeves’ dedication to meticulous detail. “You’re an incredibly meticulous filmmaker. I just asked you how it’s going with writing [“Part II”] and you said, “Slow,” and I think that’s a wonderful quality, because you care so much,” Kravitz said.
