While Indy always has his iconic revolver and whip, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle wouldn’t be much of an action game if that’s all you were given for the entirety of the game. You’ll need more pistols, a rifle, and even a quick-firing machine gun to bolster the options.

9 Hidden Areas Everyone Completely Missed In Indiana Jones And The Great Circle
Since the map in Indiana Jones And The Great Circle is full of tunnels and caves, there are hidden areas lots of players will have missed.
However, there are some hidden mechanics when it comes to the guns in The Great Circle. You can use guns as melee weapons if you want to, and reloading is a bit confusing. With some tips, you’ll be able to be a lot more varied in combat, not just relying on smacking enemies over the head with bottles and other wooden objects.
How To Reload Guns
When you get to the latter area of The Great Circle and are trying to get into the restricted areas, there’s every chance you’ll be faced with loads of enemies at once. In those cases, you’ll run out of ammo really quickly.
Reloading is simple, but whether you want to do it depends on the gun you’re using. Indy’s default revolver takes an age to reload as he has to put each bullet in individually and the Nazi machine gun comes with no more than one magazine of ammo.
To actually reload, you need to press RT if you’re on Xbox or left mouse button if you’re on PC. You need to make sure you’re not aiming when you reload, so that you don’t shoot accidentally.
How To Use Guns As Melee Weapons
When you run out of ammo, which you’ll inevitably do pretty regularly, you should use your gun as a melee weapon. You can do that with any weapon, whether it’s a pistol you get alongside a disguise or a machine gun picked up from a Nazi.
To do so, equip the gun to Indy’s hands and press X if you’re on Xbox or E if you’re on PC. Indy will then flip the weapon around so that he’s holding the barrel in his hands ready to swing wildly with it.
Best Guns To Use
If you’re intent on using firepower against the Nazis in The Great Circle, then there are a couple of guns that are best to use. First of all, pick up the machine gun Nazis carry in Gizeh and Sukhothai as it packs a punch. The only downside is the lack of ammo it comes with.
If you’re looking for a pistol you can have on you at all times, the Wehrmacht pistol that comes with the Wehrmacht uniform in Gizeh is the best as it doesn’t take as long to reload as the other pistols, especially the default revolver.
If you want to stick with Indy’s iconic revolver, you can unlock an upgrade that improves the reload speed of it so that it’s not completely unusable.
How To Get More Ammo
Your ability to get more ammo in The Great Circle depends on the weapon you’re using. For the pistols in the game, including Indy’s revolver, you can get more ammo from defeated enemies who are using the same type of weapon.
As for the likes of Nazi machine guns and rifles, you won’t be able to pick up extra ammo once you’ve used what you have. Instead, you’ll need to swap it out for another weapon of the same type.
How To Repair Guns
While any melee weapons you find on the ground can break and then not be repaired, any guns you have as default can be repaired after they’ve broken in melee combat.
Once you’ve found a repair kit, which are lying around in all camps, you need to use the d-pad to open up the weapon menu, and then hold X if you’re on Xbox or E if you’re on PC to repair your currently equipped weapon. You’ll then be able to use it as normal once again.
You can only carry a maximum of 10 repair kits at one time.
