Summary
- Fortnite’s rumored Cyberpunk 2077 crossover is still coming despite no showing this week’s update.
- A new leak claims it will be here via an update dropping on December 23, 2024.
- It will include four store tabs and a Johnny Silverhand skin, among other things.
Fortnite received what will likely be one of its last big updates of the year this week which added, among other things, a frozen Mariah Carey that fans need to thaw. Curious by its absence was anything related to Cyberpunk 2077. Rumor has it there’s a crossover coming, and even though it didn’t drop when it was expected to yesterday, leakers still believe a little slice of Night City will come to Fortnite before the end of 2024.
Although it was assumed that the Cyberpunk files discovered by dataminers would be here during this week’s update, reliable Fortnite leaker Hypex has provided an update following the no-show. According to Hypex, Cyberpunk cosmetics will arrive in Fortnite on December 23. Perfect for anyone who plans on going a few rounds on Christmas Day while taking a break from any obligatory festive family fun.

Hypex has also provided additional details about the upcoming crossover, revealing that, as most probably expected, Johnny Silverhand will be a part of it. While he might not be Cyberpunk’s main character, Silverhand is who most people think of when they hear Cyberpunk whether they’ve played the game or not. If all of the rumored crossover info is correct, that means Keanu Reeves will soon be in Fortnite twice as there’s already a John Wick skin modeled after his likeness in the movies.
Fortnite’s Rumored Cyberpunk Crossover Is Still On The Way
All Sign Point To Johnny Silverhand Dropping In Before Christmas
Rumors that Cyberpunk stuff will be added to Fortnite really ramped up hours before a CD Projekt Red stream breaking down its 2.2 update, leading some, myself included, to believe an official reveal of what will be included, as well as a release date, might be a part of that stream. That didn’t happen, and more than a week later, neither CDPR nor Epic has confirmed there’s even a crossover coming.
With that in mind, take everything above with a grain of salt, but just a little one since, as crossover rumors go, this almost certainly seems like a case of when rather than if, and even the when appears to be all but nailed down. Hypex notes that when the Cyberpunk crossover drops, it will have four tabs in the Fortnite store, so probably a lot of stuff to go with the Silverhand skin and cosmetics.
This season has already been a busy one for Fortnite crossovers. Baymax and Godzilla are now in the game, and three more characters from the Spider-Verse have joined since. It was suggested elements from Yakuza and Tekken might be immortalized in Fortnite at some point this season too, but as of right now, there has been nothing more on that beyond the initial predictions from leakers.
