Summary
- For a long time, Fortnite has been plagued with Marvel crossovers while leaving DC in the dark.
- That’s finally started to change with plenty of old skins finally returning to the Item Shop.
- This includes Starfire, who hasn’t been seen in Fortnite for more than 800 days.
Fortnite‘s neverending supply of Marvel skins and cosmetics has finally been interrupted a bit as DC skins, including Beast Boy and Starfire, have started returning to the Item Shop.
Ever since it rocketed to being one of the biggest online games of all time, Fortnite has made a name for itself with its many, many crossovers and collaborations. From Skibidi Toilet (yes really) to Peter Griffin, Epic has made it clear that it’s willing to work with pretty much anyone with recognisable IP. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t play favourites, though.

For the last few Chapters, Fortnite has teamed up with one company far more than the rest – Disney. This makes sense considering how closely the two are working together and how much money has swapped hands, but it seemingly had the sad side effect of putting DC on the back-burner, leading to pretty much complete silence from the world of Detective Comics.
Starfire Is Back In Fortnite After More Than 800 Days
Mercifully for anyone who is sick of seeing Marvel’s band of heroes, that’s finally started to change. Over the past few weeks, DC skins like Catwoman and Batman have started popping back up in the Item Shop, suggesting that some kind of deal has been worked out for DC to make its grand return.
Most recently, this has resulted in the return of Beast Boy and, more interestingly, Starfire. Beast Boy hasn’t been missing from the Item Shop for too long, with his last appearance being December 3, 2023, but it’s a completely different story with Starfire. As pointed out by Twitter user and reliable Fortnite insider ShiinaBR, Starfire’s last appearance in Fortnite was 830 days ago.
Although DC’s absence from the Fortnite Item Shop has been obvious for a while and discussed by fans plenty, it’s a bit surprising to see just how long it’s been for certain skins. While Beast Boy has faired slightly better, Starfire makes it very clear how much Epic has favoured Marvel heroes over the past few years – here’s hoping it continues to bring back the full roster.
