Summary

  • Fallout season 2 may feature the iconic New Vegas location teased by the producer at the Game Awards.
  • Season 1 wowed with a riveting story, top actors, and massive viewership of 65 million.
  • New Vegas settlement Novac from the Fallout game unveiled in a set photo, hinting at a season 2 appearance.

Amazon Prime’s Fallout TV show has been a huge surprise for fans of the game due to how well made and respected its source material had been to the Bethesda title. However, many have wondered if they would see one specific and iconic location from the popular game become adapted into the show, and it seems that it’s certainly a possibility, according to its producer. With the release of other game adaptations like HBO’s The Last of Us and Arcane, Fallout had a lot to love up to. Thankfully, the post-apocalyptic series had very little to worry about with 65 million viewers tuning in to watch it depict the aftermath of the Great War of 2077.

With a compelling story and stunning visuals, Fallout season one also had a fantastic line-up of actors that sewed the series seamlessly together. Arcane’s Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, Kyle MacLachlan, Moises Arias, and Leslie Uggams showed viewers what it was like to live in its dangerously unforgiving retrofuturistic wasteland, and now with Macaulay Culkin signing on for a mystery role in season two, the door is wide open for the series to navigate a host of different storylines that made the video game so great.

Fallout Producer Hints At New Vegas Location In Season 2

Fallout season 2

Speaking at the 2024 Game Awards this year, executive producer Jonathan Nolan hinted that Fallout season two will adapt the fan-favorite game, Fallout: New Vegas. During his acceptance speech for winning the award for Best Adaptation, Nolan gave a nod to Fallout: New Vegas fans by teasing that they’ll be thankful for not burning his house down when they watch season two of Fallout. “I want to thank Fallout: New Vegas fans for not burning down my house, you’ll be thankful you didn’t,” said Nolan. Nolan was referring to Fallout’s loyal fanbase who were somewhat annoyed with the series’ first season due to the order in which they adapted the timeline of the game.

Nolan’s statement can only be taken as a huge hint that the producer will implement the popular New Vegas location in some way when season two rolls around, and make a lot of Fallout fans very happy in the process. Recently, more fuel was added to the New Vegas location in Fallout season two’s fire when a set image popped up showcasing a sign for Novac, which is a settlement that players of the game come across. For those who haven’t played the game before watching the series, Novac is located in the Mojave Wasteland in Fallout: New Vegas and includes iconic landmarks like Dinky the T. Rex statue and Dino Dee-lite Motel.

The first season of Fallout concluded with Lucy revealing her father’s big secret and also with the backdrop of what appeared to be Las Vegas. It will be interesting to see what Fallout season two will hold, as well as unravel, but for the sake of most Fallout: New Vegas fans, all fingers are crossed that the teased location hits the mark when it finally releases.
