Summary
- Secret Level’s first season was a success, leading to a second season being greenlit by Amazon.
- No more details are provided, such as a release date or the game included, but we can probably assume Concord won’t be there.
Secret Level has been a massive success for Amazon, becoming the largest debut for a brand new animated series on Prime Video. It managed to take several well-loved properties (and Concord), doing them all justice with new stories and interesting spins on classic titles. We got a Pac-Man horror episode for crying out loud.
With that level of success, it was only a matter of time before Amazon greenlit another series, and the company did just that via the official Secret level Twitter account. Earlier today, the news of a second season of Secret Level was announced, although Amazon was extremely light on detail, only confirming that another season is being made.
Secret Level Is Getting A Season 2
We don’t know what games will be included either, though we can assume there will be a wide range, like the first series. Season one gave us new stories from games like Warhammer 40K: Space Marine, The Outer Worlds, Mega Man, Armored Core, and New World. A lot of them essentially boil down to a trailer, so we can likely assume we’ll get more modern titles to appear.

If you haven’t played the games featured, these are pretty intriguing teasers.
We could even get another surprise, like the Pac-Man horror episode, which was actually tied into a video game. It wasn’t announced until The Game Awards last week, but Shadow Labyrinth was announced during the show, which is a full-blown Metroidvania, based on Secret Level’s Pac-Man episode. It would be kind of surprising if Amazon didn’t do the same and tease another weird little game with a second season.
With Secret Level, we know that Amazon has a dizzying number of video game adaptations in the works, including highly-anticipated shows such as Mass Effect and Fallout Season 2. They also have shows based on God of War and The Sims (which wil undoubtedly be very Barbie-esque), so here’s hoping that Amazon knocks them all out of the park.
Secret Level is a computer-animated anthology series that tells bold, unique, and emotive stories set in popular video game franchise worlds.
