Funko’s Scarlet Spider With Hoodie Pop is the latest addition to its range of Spider-Man figures and if you like it, I wouldn’t wait around to place your order. There are a few reasons why this Pop is unlikely to be in stock for long, the primary one being it’s a Funko store exclusive. It’s the Pop’s hoodie that differentiates it from the Scarlet Spider look in Rivals since you can’t see the black patterns on the suit that make it unique. Spider-Man has been seen in the hoodie as much as he has been seen out of it when masquerading as the Scarlet Spider, however, meaning both his new Pop look and the exclusive skin in Rivals are intrinsically tied to the alternative version of the character.
Scarlet Spider With Hoodie Funko Pop
Outside of Spider-Man’s iconic red and blue suit, one of the looks most associated with the web-slinger is his Scarlet Spider outfit. Scarlet Spider technically has two fits, but this Funko Pop focuses on the one where Spidey wears a blue hoodie over his super suit.
Both suits are so synonymous with Scarlet Spider that both versions were included in Insomniac’s Spider-Man. The hoodie version in the base game, and the red and black version without a hoodie via its DLC. The hoodie version returned in Spider-Man 2, and a mark three version of the suit was added to the sequel two with various color options.
Funko’s Scarlet Spider Pop isn’t the first figure with a tenuous link to Marvel Rivals. A Deadpool Pop released earlier this year has been getting renewed attention due to it featuring a cameo appearance from Jeff the Land Shark. Released long before the world fell in love with Jeff via Rivals, the Pop has the adorable shark trying to swallow Deadpool whole.
