- Pokémon GO x McDonald’s partnership lets you participate in five-star raids at the sponsored Gyms.
- You can encounter a variety of Pokémon at the PokéStops, drawn by Lure Modules during the Scheduled Raid Weeks.
- Lure Modules and Raid Battles, now live, will be available daily from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time during specific weeks.
Niantic, creator of Pokémon GO has announced a major partnership with the popular fast-food franchise, McDonald’s in the US, adding PokéStops and Gyms to all 13,500 McDonald’s locations across the country. The events are now live and will continue at regular intervals until March 16, 2025.
You can now take part in five-star raids at McDonald’s Gyms with Pokémon GO x McDonald’s US partnership
This isn’t the first time Pokémon GO has partnered with a US-based brand, having previously collaborated with Chatime, Verizon, Amazon Prime Gaming, and more sponsored location-based collabs. And they have once again announced an exciting partnership with McDonald’s to introduce sponsored Pokéstops and Gyms to each of the 13,500 McDonald’s restaurants, running throughout the Dual Destiny season.
You can now visit your nearest McD locations in the United States, during Scheduled Raid Weeks and encounter numerous Pokémons attracted by the Lure Modules at the sponsored PokéStops. On top of that, you can take part in five-star raids at the sponsored Gyms.
These Lure Modules and Raids do have a specific time though, they will be available each day but from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. local time. Moreover, they will be available during the following weeks:
- December 16, 2024 – December 22, 2024
- January 20, 2025 – January 26, 2025
- February 10, 2025 – February 16, 2025
- March 10, 2025 – March 16, 2025
Sarah Gilarsky, who is the Head of Business Development for Pokémon GO, took to LinkedIn, sharing details about the partnership and expressing excitement. She also gave a special shoutout to the McDonald’s team, and conveyed, “It was a pleasure to partner with the McDonald’s team who made every effort to put brand fit, trainer experience, and guest experience first.”
