Helldivers 2 has been on a roll lately. Following the return of the Illuminate and the release of a new Urban Legends Warbond, all within a week, the cooperative shooter has dropped a highly wished-for crossover event with the critically acclaimed Killzone franchise.
Recent leaks had already suggested Killzone-inspired armor sets in Helldivers 2. However, no one would have thought that the Helldivers 2 x Killzone 2 crossover content would only be available via the Superstore for Super Credits.
So, the rumored “Righteous Revenants” content pack is not another Warbond. You get two sets of Killzone items that, while certainly having serious drip, are priced ridiculously high. Even the biggest fans will have to ask whether the new Killzone 2 crossover content is worth buying—all to fulfill their dreams of becoming a Helghast.

5 Crossovers That Should Happen in Helldivers 2
With crossovers being all the rave in gaming, these are some collabs that would make great additions to Helldivers 2 to keep players engaged.
Helldivers 2 x Killzone 2 Crossover Breakdown
The Killzone 2 collaboration event is being split into two parts for Helldivers 2. The first one, called Assault Infantry, is currently live. The second part is set for release by Christmas, which should revolve around the Scout Sniper, as teased in the announcement’s official banner as well as in recent leaks.
Here’s everything that the Killzone 2 crossover (part one) brings in Helldivers 2, and at what cost. The second part will be updated upon its availability.

How Good Is the Helldivers 2 x Killzone 2 Collab?
You will need to spend 1,975 Super Credits to unlock the entire Killzone 2 crossover in Helldivers 2, making it an extremely expensive microtransaction! Adding more salt to the wound is that you can only purchase Super Credits in either 1,000 SC or 2,100 SC bundles. Either way, you will end up paying $19.99 for the whole Killzone 2 set, which is the same price you would normally pay for two Premium Warbonds.
While you can farm free Super Credits, the grind will take too much time (probably over a month) and the Killzone 2 crossover event expires in five days.
With the second part inbound, the total cost for buying all the in-game Killzone merch would match the price for a new game, or as previously mentioned, worth a couple of the best Premium Warbonds for a ton of content in Helldivers 2.
So, is it worth spending your hard-earned savings on this Killzone 2 collab? Not at all. As broken down below, neither the weapon nor the armor falls in the pay-to-win category. Cosmetics are always optional, but paying 150 SC for a player title is pushing it.
If you are interested in getting some exclusive bragging rights, feel free to get your wallet. Otherwise, the Helldivers 2 x Killzone 2 crossover is a stark reminder of corporate greed. Super Earth’s Ministry of Prosperity should do better.

Helldivers 2: How to Get the TR-117 Alpha Commander Armor Set
Your wish has come true. The highly coveted Master Chief-inspired TR-117 Alpha Commander armor set can now be yours in Helldivers 2. Here’s how.
StA-52 Assault Rifle
The StA-52 features a massive drum magazine to provide light-armor-penetrating sustained fire. It does the same damage as the AR-23 Liberator, but with a significantly higher fire rate. It comes without an optic, though, which is disappointing considering you are paying half a Warbond price. Here’s a quick comparison between the two.

AC-1 Dutiful (Body Armor and Helmet)
The Killzone 2 body armor (medium) features an all-new armor passive called Acclimated that gives 50 percent resistance to fire, gas, acid, and electrical damage. While looking good on paper, the chance of facing all or most of those elements on a single map in Helldivers 2 is next to zero. You would fare better with equipping armor designed specifically for a single element. These give 75-90 percent resistance depending on the armor set, boosting your defensive stats and survival chances.
Additionally, the AC-1 Dutiful body armor is not even aesthetically pleasing to look at. However, the Helghast helmet looks stunning. You no longer have to make do with the Death Korps of Krieg helmet in Helldivers 2. You can now serve Super Earth as an actual Helghast.
If you must buy only one thing from this
Killzone 2
crossover, get the AC-1 Helmet. Try pairing it with either the B-08 Light Gunner or CE-27 Ground Breaker body armor. They are the closest that comes to the Helghast design.
Strength in Our Arms (Cape and Player Card)
Both the cape and the player card feature the icon Helghast Triad of the Helghan Empire. With dozens of cosmetics already in Helldivers 2, paying 400 SC to just complete a set is not just steep but also borderline predatory.
Assault Infantry (Player Title)
This would be the most exclusive player title to get in Helldivers 2. Every other player title can be unlocked through gameplay, buying the Super Citizen Edition, or unlocking a Premium Warbond. Assault Infantry, with the iconic Helghast helmet icon, however, can only be unlocked through the Superstore. So, you have no choice but to wait for the Killzone 2 title to appear in the weekly rotation.
