One of the most prevalent of these kinds of debates has to do with Gohan Beast and Full Power Super Saiyan Broly, both of whom are similar in many ways. Chapter 103 of the Dragon Ball Super manga finally put them together for a brief moment, but fans have been tirelessly debating which of them is stronger. The Strength Of Gohan Beast

The Saiyan’s Strongest Form

Gohan has always been built up as a character whose entire identity is defined by his limitless potential. Although many have viewed this as a cheap way to suddenly make him stronger out of nowhere for years, the fact of the matter is that this has always been a part of who this character is, and was never as prevalent as it was in his battles against Perfect Cell and Cell Max, prompting his transformations into Super Saiyan 2 and Beast respectively.

The Beast form is unlike anything else that the series has shown before. With Goku and Vegeta entering a whole new level of power with their Divine Techniques, Gohan bypasses the need for God Ki altogether, shooting right up to the same tier of power as Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta. Unlike these forms, however, Beast doesn’t seem to have any visual strain on Gohan’s body or stamina, at least until the form is expanded upon and used more in the future. All that is known is that he was able to easily kill Cell Max and match Ultra Instinct Goku.

The Strength Of Full Power Broly

Broly’s Incredible Latent Power Unleashed

Broly is a character whose potential may just surpass that of even Gohan since he was able to supersede God Ki-empowered Goku and Vegeta in his first-ever fight, although he lost his mind in the process. In his battles against Goku and Vegeta, his base form was shown to be going up against Super Saiyan Blue Goku in his base form/enraged state. Once he was driven to the state of Super Saiyan, he took on both Goku and Vegeta at the same time while they were Super Saiyan Blue, prompting them to fuse into Gogeta to finish the job.

I was so sure my strength was getting close to its peak. But, then this guy showed up and was so much stronger than me! He’s probably even stronger than Beerus!

Although Broly was light work for the fusion, it still showed how strong he was; that a fusion needed to take him down. From here, he would undergo extensive training under the Saiyans and Whis to eventually master his power, which he ended up doing in Chapter 103 when he took the limitless power of his Berserker form and controlled it, making him just as powerful as before but keeping him in a clear state of mind. This meant that Broly could now utilize his incredible power most efficiently without wasting even a bit of it.

Notable Feats:

• Forced Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta to flee and fuse, meaning that only their fusion was strong enough to stop him
• Broke a dimensional barrier in his fight against Gogeta
• Clashed equally against Beast Gohan when the Full Power Super Saiyan form was first unlocked

So Who Would Win?

The Superior Warrior Among The Two

Despite this being one of the most prevalent debates in the Dragon Ball community, there isn’t much that can be said about it due to the very limited showings of both character’s forms. One could definitely make the case that, due to this, both characters are very likely on the same level, which would make sense as well judging by the only interaction they’ve had so far.

When all the Saiyans are sparring in Chapter 103, Gohan is eventually pitted against Broly. When the former charges up to his Beast form and engages his opponent, Broly also unlocks a brand-new transformation, matching Gohan in the fight. However, this is where the true difference between the two comes in, as it shows that Gohan is the better warrior out of the both of them, even though the difference is small.

I boosted my Ki just up to the point where I might snap while still maintaining control. For now, that’s the best way I’ve found to draw out my power.

Gohan’s years of experience in battle, coupled with the greater control over his power he has gotten because of it, gives him the upper hand for a longer duration in this fight. Although these Saiyans are likely on the same level in terms of sheer power output and strength, Gohan’s control allows him to use it better, and while Broly can also control his full power state, it likely isn’t at the same level as Gohan Beast. Even during the chapter, everyone else was repeatedly talking about how well he can control his Ki.

All in all, Gohan Beast and Full Power Super Saiyan Broly exist on the same tier. However, Gohan’s Ki control and experience allow him to edge out Broly, who is still relatively new to his power. In the future, though, fans can only wait to see what the series has in store for them once it returns, perhaps even offering a substantial answer to this question that fans have been asking for so long.
