Genshin Impact has revealed tons of improvements set to arrive with the release of update 5.3. Genshin Impact is one of the most popular live-service titles in the industry at the moment, with a player base that amounts to tens of millions of monthly players.

Besides adding new units to the playable roster, Genshin Impact updates also introduce various adjustments that impact the overall experience, from exploring the world of Teyvat to farming artifact pieces.

In their latest Developer Discussion, developer HoYoverse has revealed many notable changes that will arrive with the release of Genshin Impact update 5.3, including Cross Co-Op Mode adjustments, boss respawns, artifact inventory limit changes, and more. To make Genshin Impact‘s Co-Op experience more enjoyable, update 5.3 will allow players on World Levels 8 and 9 to freely enter each other’s instances. It should be noted that the levels of the enemies, as well as the quality of the drops, will be based on the World Level players are in. The new update will also make the in-game bosses respawn immediately after the rewards have been collected. This means that players won’t have to use Waypoints to respawn the bosses, making the farming process much more streamlined.

Genshin Impact: New Artifact QoL Improvements Revealed

Farming and choosing the right artifacts in Genshin Impact is one of the most tedious activities for most players due to the multi-layered RNG factors. Version 5.3 will improve the overall artifact recommendation system, so players will get to save time comparing and calculating which artifact suits their characters best. Clicking on a new feature called Artifact Recommendation will pop a new window that shows which set combinations are the best choices for the respective character.

Multiple filters will allow players to see which of these recommended pieces they already have in their inventory. Genshin Impact Version 5.3 will also increase the overall number of artifacts players can store in their inventory. This change does not come as a big surprise, considering that HoYoverse has already increased the limit on a couple of occasions.

To get more information about the QoL improvements, players will probably have to wait for Genshin Impact‘s Special Program for Version 5.3. The update will also include two new playable characters, Mavuika and Citlali, and it should arrive around January 1, at least according to Genshin Impact‘s usual update schedule. Mavuika will probably be featured on the first banner, while Citlali is most likely arriving in the second banner cycle.
