The card game Magic: The Gathering has been collaborating with popular video game IPs recently, including Assassin’s Creed and Fallout, and seeing an Elden Ring deck in the tabletop’s future would instantly accumulate a lot of interested customers.
FromSoft and Bandai Namco Entertainment released Elden Ring back in 2022, and the Soulslike went on to win Game of the Year. The dark fantasy’s popularity continued when the hefty Shadow of the Erdtree expansion was released in June 2024, and it became the first DLC to be nominated for Game of the Year. This year’s The Game Awards event also revealed the brand-new spin-off multiplayer Elden Ring: Nightreign, which will feature an original story set parallel to the base game. Elden Ring fans may have missed a few details from the Nightreign trailer, which is understandable considering it was one of the biggest surprises of the night.

This isn’t the first time the Soulslike has been linked to the card game, as another Elden Ring fan made a similar set of Magic: The Gathering cards last year, although none of them were Legendary.
