Disney Dreamlight Valley has launched a new gift-giving event, which will be available until the very end of the year. Called The Gift of Giving, the newly debuted promotion gives Disney Dreamlight Valley players an opportunity to engage in some holiday-themed activities.
Gameloft’s hit life sim adventure has been doing holiday-themed events every year since its September 2022 early access release. For the 2023 holiday season, Disney Dreamlight Valley offered hidden Festive Tasks that players could complete to earn a variety of limited-time crafting materials.

A year later, Gameloft is doing something similar with the newly launched The Gift of Giving event, which kicked off on Wednesday, December 18. The promo, which was first announced as part of the Disney Dreamlight Valley Sew Delightful update, brings back the Festive Wrapping Paper material that can be used for crafting holiday-themed furniture. The furnishings players can create this way are ideal for hosting a holiday dinner, according to the patch notes attached to the Sew Delightful update.

The new Festive Wrapping Paper can be found scattered around Scrooge McDuck’s Store in Disney Dreamlight Valley for the duration of the event. The Gift of Giving also introduces some Festive Fish that have a random chance of appearing in bodies of water. Players will be able to recognize them by the color of their water ripples, which will be green and red. The regular white, blue, and golden ripples will still appear during the event, just at a reduced frequency.
Another novelty debuting as part of The Gift of Giving is a limited-time quest for crafting a “whimsical snowman.” It’s currently unclear if this will result in a different decoration from the ones featured in Disney Dreamlight Valley‘s Do You Wanna Build a Snowman quest. Either way, this new seasonal storyline can be started by interacting with a chest that appeared at the Plaza on December 18.
More Holiday Gifts Are Coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley
In addition to The Gift of Giving, Disney Dreamlight Valley is celebrating the holiday season in a few other ways. One of them is a new freebie called the Festive Blue Star, which can be claimed in the Premium Shop between December 18 and December 25. By the time this offer expires, players will be able to start collecting even more gifts, which will spawn daily under the Dreamlight Tree in the Dream Castle from December 25 to December 31. Gameloft hasn’t yet revealed what exact gifts it has in store for this period, but its track record suggests it will do so before the daily spawns kick off.
