Luckily, when players combine two slimes, the resulting largo enjoys both parent slimes’ favorite foods. This makes it super easy to care for and profit off of slimes that were originally carnivores. Knowing which crops are best to grow is essential to making as many Newbucks as possible. Players must cater to the tastes of all their slimes and largo combos.

7 Cuberries

A Great Starter Crop

When players first start out, they have an easy source of Newbucks from all the Pink slimes hanging around the area. Unfortunately, Pink Plorts aren’t worth that much. To pick up the pace with making money, they can venture a short distance from the ranch to collect Phosphor and Tabby slimes.

The resulting Phosphor Tabby largo has a diet of meat and fruits. Because the Phosphor slime’s favorite food is Cuberries, this largo will also hold it as a favorite, alleviating the need to feed it meat. Growing this crop will allow them to gain 22 Newbucks off both types of Plorts these largos drop.

5 Mint Mangoes

Hunter slimes can be pretty vicious, as it’s their nature to devour other Plorts on sight. Once they do this, they become hostile toward the player. Feeding them a chicken will immediately calm them, but raising chickens can definitely be a pain. Combining this slime with a Honey slime can help manage its ferocious appetite for meat.

The Honey slime’s favorite food is Mint Mangoes. When players create a Honey Hunter largo combo, the creation will love Mint Mangoes and chickens. Keeping a plot of these fruits growing is essential, as Hunter slime Plorts have a base value of 60 Newbucks, while Honey slime Plorts are worth 45 Newbucks at their base level.

An Alternative To Odd Onions

One interesting largo combo is the Rad Crystal largo. The Rad slime can be quite dangerous as it emits radiation, which can severely hurt the protagonist over time. Its Plorts have a base value of 45 Newbucks, which is okay on its own but could still be better.

The Crystal slime isn’t inherently dangerous, but its spikes can cause damage to players who are unaware of how close they’ve gotten to the slime. In addition, these slimes can create damage-causing spikes on the ground surrounding them. Their base Plort value is 60 Newbucks. Its primary downside is its favorite food, the Odd Onion, which can be hit or miss when it’s time to grow. Fortunately, the Rad slime’s favorite food is the Oca Oca, making it a great crop to grow for fast monetary gains.

Saber slimes are found in the Wilds, but gathering them can be dangerous. Their naturally occurring largos are typically feral, making it a challenge to get in and out unharmed. When corraled on their own, they can be hard to keep fed and happy, as they’re meat eaters. However, their base Plort value is 60 Newbucks, making it worth the effort.

Players who want to make raising Saber slimes easier should create Saber Quantum largos. Quantum largos love Phase Lemons, which are a breeze to grow compared to chickens. Their base Plort value is also 60 Newbucks. As long as players keep their Phase Lemons growing, they’ll be able to profit off largo combos like this one for the duration of their adventure.

Saber slimes net players a pretty decent value for the Plorts they produce. But at the same time the trade-off of having to raise and maintain chickens can be stressful. If they don’t produce fast enough, there’s always the risk of the slimes becoming agitated, making the 60 base Newbucks a trial to earn.

On the other hand, Mosaic slimes can be quite dangerous when players are unprepared. They produce anomalies in the area surrounding them and eventually set fire to the ground. However, their Plorts have a base value of 75 Newbucks, making this a valuable slime to have on the ranch. Creating a Saber Mosaic largo makes for a highly profitable largo that feeds on Silver Parsnips, making this crop essential.

The Best Crop For Money-Making Largos

One of the most lucrative largo combos is the Tangle Dervish largo. The Tangle and Dervish slimes both have base Plort values of 75 Newbucks. Tangle slimes are carnivores, which can be inconvenient. They also need to be placed away from other corrals to ensure they can’t eat other Plorts by extending their roots. If they’re too close, they can create a Tarr outbreak.

Dervish slimes are veggie eaters and love Prickle Pears. So, creating a Tangle Dervish largo allows players to eliminate meat from their diets. They’ll have an easier time caring for these largos while making a lot of Newbucks in the process.
