In this guide, we are going to take a look at every optional boss that you can take on in Act Two of Path of Exile 2. This will include where to find them, as well as what unique items they drop upon defeat for the first time.

Every Optional Boss In Act Two

Below, you’ll find a table highlighting every Act Two optional boss. There aren’t quite as many optional bosses here as there are in Act One, but they can all still be challenging to take on if you aren’t prepared.

In Act Two, you can partake in the Trial of Sekhemas to ascend. Technically, this is optional, but a majority of players choose to do this. There are bosses here, but we haven’t included them in our list. This includes Rattlecage, who you’ll face at the end of your first trial.

Boss

Location

Balbala, The Traitor

Balbala’s Barya

Traitor’s Passage

This boss is required to defeat if you want to ascend.

L’im the Impaler

Nothing too unique, but rare items may drop

The Halani Gates

This isn’t a boss with an orange nameplate; L’im appears like a typical gold-named enemy. You’ll know you are close when the path starts to narrow and there are bodies on stakes present.

Kabala, Constrictor Queen

Book of Specialisation

Keth

Kabala is found in a slightly-lowered pit. When battling, she will burrow under this little arena if you stray too far.

The Ninth Treasure of Keth

Jewel

The Lost City

This giant beetle goes back and forth in a rectangular room. While here, you can expect to see a lot of smaller beetles being summoned.

Watchful Twins (Mugin and Hunin)

Djinn Barya

Deshar

These twins are in a giant bone arena. Interestingly, these two bosses can have random modifiers, which adds some unpredictability to the fight.
