Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland 2024 Also Features Login Rewards, Winter Brawls, and More
These three cosmetics, all of which come with Highlight Intros, are offered on top of the Hanzo Casual skin that Overwatch 2 players have been able to unlock by completing Winter Wonderland challenges since December 10. The ongoing event also introduces additional login rewards, including new snowflake and party hat icons, as well as a cute Darumari souvenir trinket.
Moreover, the Overwatch 2 Arcade mode has been expanded for the duration of the event, bringing back three of its popular winter brawls: Mei’s Snowball Offensive, Mei’s Yeti Hunt, and Freeze Flash Elimination. Mei’s Snowball Offensive is a chaotic 5v5 experience in which every hit results in an elimination, requiring players to defend themselves with Cryo-Freeze and Ice Walls. Mei’s Yet Hunt is a 5v1 PvP mode where the player controlling a Yeti will have to find meat scattered across a map to trigger a devastating primal frenzy, all the while the other five players are trying to stop them. Freeze Flash Elimination is a freeze tag game with non-permanent eliminations, where players that get frozen can thaw out and get back into the fray.
Additionally, the 2024 Winter Wonderland debuts a new Happy Holly Mercy bundle, which is available in the in-game shop starting December 17. Exclusive Twitch drops and the beginning of 6v6 gameplay experiments are also part of the ongoing Overwatch 2 event, which is planned to conclude on January 6.
