Ironmouse Loses Twitch Subscriber Record

Ironmouse Loses Twitch Subscriber Record

Summary

  • Ironmouse drops to third in Twitch active subscribers after evelone2004 surpasses her record.
  • Evelone2004 gained over 350,000 subs during a tournament, mostly through gifted subs.

Ironmouse has lost her subscriber record, slipping to third place among those holding the most active subscribers on the Twitch platform. A Twitch account with less than 20,000 active subscribers suddenly surged in popularity and overtook her record on December 14.

Ironmouse made history in September 2024 when the VTuber held a subathon. Her account earned an impressive 306,621 subs, making Ironmouse the number one streamer on Twitch when looking at active subscriber counts. While monumental, Ironmouse’s achievement was overtaken shortly after by Kai Cenat, who has gone on to more than double her active subscriber count, coming in at over 700,000 during a viral Mafiathon 2 stream.

Now, another account has passed Ironmouse, moving her to third place. Twitch streamer evelone2004 reached over 350,000 subscribers during their coverage of the Perfect World CS2 Shanghai Major, where Russian Team Spirit managed to defeat FaZe Clan to win the competition. Evelone2004 streams in the Russian language, so his account drew a lot of viewers rooting for Team Spirit during the stream. At the start, his account had just under 20,000 subscribers, but by the end, his account had over 350,000 active subscribers, a million followers, and reached the top 5 most-subscribed channels on the entire platform.

Evelone2004’s New Record Was Largely Gifted

Interestingly, according to TwitchTracker, the vast majority of the subs evelone2004 gained during the competition were gifted. A tremendous 343,706 subs were apparently gifted to other users during the stream. Since Twitch varies its subscription fee based on where users are located, the price to subscribe in Russia and Ukraine is lower than in places like the United States. Since the majority of his viewers may have been located in Russian-speaking territories, it makes this number slightly more approachable. However, it’s still an incredible achievement.

Evelone2004’s success isn’t entirely without precedent. Though the aforementioned account had relatively few subscribers, the same person has another account on the platform, Evelone192, has an extremely impressive 2.4 million followers. It’s likely that some of the streamer’s viewers from that account tuned in to watch the coverage on the Evelone2004 account, which could have helped to propel it and draw attention, ultimately leading to the numerous gifted subs.

Whether Ironmouse can reclaim her spot as the most actively subscribed streamer remains to be seen. Surpassing Kai Cenat’s record would be quite the undertaking, but it isn’t necessarily out of the question. Ironmouse has chronic health problems, but as her health has improved, she has been reaching more milestones in followers and subs. She also just won the best Vtuber category of the Streamer Awards for the third consecutive year, which will likely draw even more attention to her channel.
