Gyro Zeppeli’s signature weapon, the Steel Ball, and its Spin, is a Spec you can get and use in combat. Since A Universal Time is a Roblox Jojo game, Steel Ball Run Stands and Specs are always a must-have for any diehard fan of the series.

This guide will show you how to obtain Spin, which item you’ll need and where you can find it, and some tips along the way to help you in your journey. Without further ado, let’s begin.
How To Get Spin
In A Universal Time, Spin is officially referred to as “Steel Spin”, but it is indeed the Spin Gyro used with Steel Balls.
In order to get it, you’ll need the Spec Standless equipped and an Altered Steel Ball Item.
This Spec is not part of any quest line, even though a Gyro NPC can be found around the map. It is a standalone ability.
How To Get Standless
First, make sure you have space in your bank for an Ability.
In the starting area, the Park, you’ll need to talk to Enrico Pucci. He stands next to the trees in the middle.
When talking to him, select “Give me standless” from the dialogue options. It will add the Standless Spec to your bank and automatically switch you to it from whatever ability you have.
How To Get The Altered Steel Ball
Next, you’ll need the Altered Steel Ball. This is an Epic Item, and can be found in Chests of Epic or above rarity.
These chests can be found anywhere, but higher-level groups of enemies have way higher chances of dropping them. For this, we recommend the following steps.
Where To Find An Epic Chest
In the Park, start heading in the direction that Pucci is facing. You’ll reach the soccer field, with waterfalls surrounding it, and you’ll need to climb that cliff by going up the rocks off to the side.
Once at the top, head to the Desert, where you’ll find Curses spawning. These are your targets, and for this, we recommend switching to your strongest ability.
Curses are the highest-level regular enemies in the game, so they do have the highest chance to spawn Epic Chests, but are also very tough to clear.
You might need to clear a couple of groups before an Epic Chest spawns, but once you do get it, it’s not guaranteed to give you an Altered Steel Ball. The drop table has many Epic Items, so this might take some time, but as there is no alternative, you’ll need some luck in this process.
Once you finally get an Altered Steel Ball, switch back to Standless.
Don’t put the item into your bank, and instead just use it like you would an Arrow, while you have Standless equipped.
That Standless spec will be transformed into Steel Spin, taking its place in your bank.
Steel Spin Moveset And Combos
For such an easily obtainable spec, Spin is incredibly strong. The damage it outputs is comparable to Mythics, and the moveset is very simple yet effective.
Move |
Description |
---|---|
Energy of the Spin |
Passive – Your Heat directly buffs your damage, so the higher it is the more damage you’ll do. |
Hardened Skin |
Passive – At 100 Heat, you will gain this buff, heightening your defense for a limited time. |
Spin Charge |
Charge your Heat meter slowly. |
Iron Frenzy |
Standard barrage with a ragdolling blow at the end. |
Rotary Havoc |
Long-ranged attack that causes an AOE whirlwind on contact, stunning opponents. |
Iron Flux |
A series of long-ranged attacks. |
Scan |
Scanning enemies makes them take more damage from you, and turn full ragdolls into soft ragdolls. |
Amnestic Club |
Begin running, crossing a long distance, after which a hard-to-time kick will send the enemy into a cutscene, in which you’ll deal a ton of damage. |
Golden Pitch |
A devastating long-range blow. After landing it, you will summon Ball Breaker, who will buff your damage immensely for a long while. |
Deadly Whirl |
Very short-range grab, which, if landed, gets followed by a series of blows dealing a lot of damage. |
Energy Burst |
AOE attack around you, dealing damage in a wide area instantly. |
Golden Pitch is your bread and butter here, as this move will easily double your already massive damage while it’s active. Rely on Iron Frenzy and Rotary Havoc for a solid damage combo, and use the other abilities when these two are on cooldown.
Keep in mind, Amnestic Club is your strongest move, and Deadly Whirl is not far behind – but be warned, both of these are pretty hard to land. Save them for when you’re certain you can use them to win the fight.
