Fortnite Winterfest is always a big event for the gaming community. Every year, Epic Games goes all-out for the holiday season, updating the map, adding events, skins, and more. It’s a big reason the game was a nominee for Best Community Support at The Game Awards. Here’s what we expect to arrive this week in the update.

Fortnite Winterfest Update to Arrive This Week
According to leaker HYPEX, there’s plenty planned for this week’s major Winterfest update. It’s expected to go live on December 18 and bring free skins and rewards. Admittedly, this is a yearly occurrence. In the past, players would go to Crackshot’s Cabin, but it remains to be seen how Epic will handle it in 2024.
Recently, it was leaked that tons of DC skins would be added back to the Item Shop. The leaks anticipate more of the same happening over the next week. Now is the best time to get some superhero skins. The first Crew Pack skin of 2025 will also be revealed.
Additionally, Epic is going to release the Super Styles for Godzilla, the secret skin on the Chapter 6 battle pass, in the update. The map is expected to get snowy and there is supposed to be an Ice Skate mobility item coming, too. Boons, Wind Grenades, and more are joining the new item.
Also, Epic Games is going to either add or bring back collaborations new and old, including Snoop Dogg, Shaq, Cars, Cyberpunk, and others, after the Fortnite Winterfest patch.
Old Winter items, like the Snowball Launcher, are coming back to the active loot pool for the event. Finally, Epic Games is poised to add Juice WRLD, Ice Spice, and Snoop Dogg Car Skins to the Item Shop as well. Keep in mind that these are leaks, but they’re likely to happen since they do almost every year. Until it happens, it is speculative.
