UK-based card grading company Ace Grading says it was the victim of a “professional theft” late last week. In a statement, Ace Grading says that cards that customers had sent in to be graded were stolen in the theft, and have described the incident as a “calculated and targeted attack”.
Anyone affected is being contacted and should be compensated through Ace Grading’s insurance. The community is being asked to remain vigilant and look out for any cards that appear to be stolen, or anyone selling a large quantity of cards at once.

Ace Grading director Andrew Shane, better known as the content creator Randolph, has issued a statement on the matter.
“On the evening of Friday, December 13, 2024, our offices were the target of a professional theft,” it reads. “During this incident, certain cards belonging to some of our submitters were taken. This was not a random or opportunistic crime; it was a calculated and targeted attack.
“In light of this event, we have implemented additional, robust security measures to further protect your property and maintain the integrity of our facility. We take these matters extremely seriously and remain committed to the trust that you have placed in us. With your continued support, Ace Grading will remain a cornerstone of the card-collecting community.”
Randolph gave more details in a video on his personal YouTube account.
“From what we can see, it looks like a complete targetted attack. It seems like it’s a professional break-in as well,” he says. “They didn’t take expensive equipment, they didn’t take things that most people would assume to have monetary value. They only took cards, and they only took a certain section of cards.
“I don’t know how we move forward from here. I don’t even know if we can. This is something that kills a company financially, publicly, personally”.
He adds that the police investigation is ongoing, so he is limited on what else he can share. He assures customers that security has been increased, and is adamant that this will not happen again.
