Mobile Legends: Bang Bang just finished its highest event for esports. The M6 World Championship is over now with Fnatic ONIC PH as the champion. The event left many memorable moments to cherish and remember. To give you a recall of these moments, we made this top 5 MLBB M6 World Championship moment list.
Top 5 Moments in the MLBB M6 World Championship
From the start of the magnificent showdown of the powerhouses, the event amazed us at each moment. Each match was different and filled with tense moments, inhuman moves, and a showdown of ultimate skills. However, we picked the top 5 moments that we thought to be the best moments in this whole M6 journey.
However, remember that your perspective may show different moments from the top ones. But we tried putting down the memorable incidents from not only the matches but the whole arrangement of the event. So, here are our top 5 moments from the M6 World Championship
1. Fnatic ONIC becomes the champion
It will be our number one moment from the M6 World Championship. As the event concludes after crowning the champion, this is the top moment of all in the M6. Philipphine’s powerhouse Fnatic ONIC PH becomes the champion of M6 after defeating Team Liquid ID in the grand finals. The BO7 match didn’t go that long as the champion cut the length and wrapped the final after 5 rounds.
The scoreline stood at 4-1, marking ONIC PH as a part of the history of MLBB esports. It’s become a common thing in MLBB esports to see a Philippino team taking away the champion trophy. Apart from the M1 World Championship, the rest of the championships were taken by Philippino teams.
2. Falcon Esports Coach Ar Sy’s Emotional Plea
The M6 World Championship witnessed a heartfelt moment in the post-match conference after Falcon Esports lost against Team Spirit in a 1-3 scoreline. Their coach Rodel “Ar Sy” B.Cruz gave an emotional speech by mentioning how crucial it is to bring back MPL Myanmar.
Ar Sy said that the team is so dedicated and he being a Philippino was touched by the people’s emotion for the game. Whatever the reason is, MOONTON Games should bring back the MPL event in Myanmar.
MPL Myanmar stopped taking place after the 5th installment in 2020. Though the country has a glorious past in MLBB esports, it is unknown why the professional league is not taking place. However, the coaches’ emotional plea will be one of the best moments to remember after the event.
3. Team Liquid ID defeated MSC 24 champion Selangor
The battle between Malaysia the host country and Indonesian giant Team Liquid is in our top 3. Selangor Red Giants is the defending champion of MSC 2024. For the first time in history, MOONTON took the MSC outside SEA and Malaysia took away the trophy. Selangor, the revolutionary team in Malaysian esports, didn’t expect the result to be it.
The team looked confident and sharp before the fight. But, the grand finalist Team Liquid showed them the opposite. A clean sweep of 3-0 directly banished Selangor from the event. Though Team Liquid had to stop in the runner-up place, the match it played against Selangor was simply proof of their revamped strategy and a result of their best effort.
4. Fnatic’s near defeat vs Falcon in the upper bracket
The crowned champion, Fnatic ONIC PH, didn’t have a smooth run in the event. The team won every match in the Knockout stage and dominated the others to take the trophy home, but it did fall under a strong tackle from Falcon Esports.
In the upper-bracket semifinals, these two giants met each other. Though Fnatic won the first two rounds and seemed to take an easy win, Falcon made a serious comeback and threw a strong challenge. However, after a cut-to-throat battle in the final round, Fnatic won the match and kept the chance to be the champion. On the other hand, Falcon went down to play the lower bracket. While this could have been the end for Fnatic ONIC PH, we listed it in our top 5 moments in the MLBB M6 World Championship.
5. Introducing China as the new region for MLBB esports
MOONTON introduced China as the latest addition to the region list for MLBB esports. This is a significant step for the game to step for the next big endeavor. There will be two qualifying events in China to select and send a representative team to the MSC and the M7.
These leagues will be similar to the MPLs. Though the details are not revealed yet the integration of the major market is a significant step for MOONTON to elevate the esports scene.
We may be able to see more strong teams following the title’s esports and enter the global scene. The inaugural event in China for MLBB esports will begin next year. The announcement came as a surprise so we list it as one of the top moments in the M6 World.
Final Thoughts
MLBB M6 World Championship concluded with a magnificent presentation of skill, management, thrill, and moments. And, the next M series event, the M7 World, is already announced with the location set to Indonesia. However, there is always room for improving each installment by adding and reshaping the backend processes that we don’t see. But we hope that the next year will also bring great events from Mobile Legends esports.
