How to Complete Stormy Welcome in On Your Tail

Stormy Welcome is the mainline quest that this mystery takes place in. Players will need to navigate and progress through Stormy Welcome in order to get all the clues they need. Once players gain control of Diana, they will be able to move around the manor they awaken in. Here they will find a distinguished gentleman on the bottom floor. This is Orlando De Montoni, and he will be the primary NPC players interact with for this mystery. Dialogue is important and can result in finding clues for some mysteries.

Upon expanding all dialogue options with Orlando, the players will get a short cutscene before some more dialogue. Players will now be able to hunt for clues. There are 3 within the manor that they will need to find before they can leave. In order to find clues, players will need to take out their Chronolens and open it while looking at various points. Focusing the Chronolense will obtain the following clues:

  • Clue 1: The open chest on the bottom floor.
  • Clue 2: Messy drawer on the top floor.

Where is the Workshop in On Your Tail?

Once players have these 3 clues, they can speak with Orlando one last time before leaving the manor. Here is where players will get their first look at the town, as well as see the game’s title appear on-screen. Players will also meet a new friend named Paun. Players can find many side activities to enjoy with this new friend at any time they feel they need a break from progressing the main story.

Players’ first time navigating the town might be a tad confusing, but luckily the town is along the coast. Players can use this coastline as a reference point to find their bearings — this is very useful as there is no compass in the game. Players will need to find a workshop by the pier to speak with Chea. Players can follow the left side of the map all the way to the beach, then follow the coastline to the workshop. Players will encounter numerous NPCs along the way, gaining more character and location cards in the process.

Once inside the workshop, speak with Chea and exhaust all the dialogue to progress Stormy Weather. This will lead players to delivering a respirator to an NPC named Lexua.

How to Find Lexua in On Your Tail

Players will notice a Grumpy Fisherman near the workshop. This is the Lexua they need to speak with, but Diana will not want to speak with them, as he intimidates her. Players can open their map to find various yellow circles called Leads. One of these Leads will show players where to find Foto & Foto where Paun works. Having Paun follow Diana will make her feel safe around the Grumpy Fisherman, and allow players to progress the mission forward.

Players can do many other activities with Paun, such as playing marbles on the beach or having a cup of coffee. These activities will reveal more cards for the players and let them experience the full range of the game. Take Paun to speak with the Grumpy Fisherman to confirm they are Lexua, and then go back inside the workshop. Exhaust all the dialogue between both Chea and Malagamba. This will give you the final clue; Chea’s prototype.

Solving Theft at Villa De Montoni in On Your Tail

Players can now use the clues as cards in a fun and intuitive system to solve the mystery. Players should experiment and try to find the answer on their own, as they can make as many attempts as they need. Players will need to find which combination of cards will complete the following 2 goals.

  • The thief searches the whole villa.
  • Orlando sees the thief escaping.

In the first mystery, there were only 2 possible approaches. Either they used the 2 cards in the right order or the 2 cards in the wrong order. This time around, they will need to play cards that move the thief around the villa. There is a red cracked board on the right staircase, and if the thief touches it, it will alert Orlando early. This causes an inconsistency and will mark the second goal with a red X.

If players use the chest card, the thief will start at the bottom of the manor. If they play either the bookshelf or the dresser cards, the thief will start on the top floor. The Thief will always use the shortest route to the next search location. Players will want to play the cards in the following order to complete the mystery.

  • Books on the ground
  • Messy drawers
  • Open chest
  • Chea’s prototype

Once the player has solved the mystery, they will return to Chea’s Workshop, and will need to make their way back to the Manor and report to Orlando with the answer. This will progress the story to Diana finding a new home.
