On Your Tail has many mysteries for players to overcome. Once players understand how these mysteries work, it simply becomes a matter of time before players realise the answer. The game is meant to provide a very laid-back experience where the players can just enjoy the game between sessions and not feel stressed. This is accompanied by an open-world map that is not too large.
Early into the game, players will still be new to how the game works, and the second mystery they will get will be Theft at Mama Lucia’s. Players should read what is on each card and then envision how each choice will affect the flow of the investigation.

All Clues for Theft at Mama Lucia’s in On Your Tail
Following the Leads on the map will guide players to all the tasks and objectives in On Your Tail. One of them will take them inside Mamma Lucia’s place of business. Here is where they will trigger the mystery. Solving Theft at Villa De Montoni saw players running from one corner of the map to the other. However, this time around, all the clues they need to solve this mystery can be found within the restaurant. Players will need to collect each of these clues before they can attempt to solve the mystery:
- Clue 1: Telephone call
- Clue 2: Messy Cupboard
- Clue 3: Hat on the Ground
- Clue 4: Chair out of Place
Clue 1 can be obtained by speaking with Mamma Lucia, but the following 3 will require focusing on key areas with the Chronolens. Once players are done speaking with Mamma Lucia, they can look to their left to see a cupboard. Using the Chronolsens will show that it looks different between then and now. This is where players will pick up Clue 2.
Turning around to face the door they arrived through will reveal a hat rack to its left. This is where players can pick up Clue 3. The final clue is directly opposite Mamma Lucia. Players might think that the bottle on the shelf is Clue 4, but focusing on it will not give any results. Players need to focus on the chair in front of the cabinet instead, as this was used to get to the bottle.
How to Solve Theft at Mama Lucia’s in On Your Tail
During the mystery, players will have 4 checkboxes to guide them:
- Mamma Lucia left the restaurant.
- The thief stole the ship in a bottle.
- ???
- The thief escaped without being seen.
Players should always start each mystery by reading what is on each clue. These clues will give players valuable pieces of information that can help them determine the order of what happened.
Mamma Lucia left the restaurant when she got a phone call. Her daughter called Mamma Lucia because she heard an angry knocking on the door of their home.
While Mamma Lucia’s game piece is in the restaurant, she will perform each clue’s action. Players will need to move her out of the restaurant at the start for the thief to start following the actions of the cards. Here is the order players can use the cards to solve the mystery:
- Telephone Call
- Messy Cupboard
- Chair out of place
- Hat on the floor
Using Chair out of place will reveal the third checkbox to be “The thief poured liquor into the ship in a bottle.
Mysteries keep the information you uncover even if you fail, so players can always progress towards the solution if they keep trying. Just keep trying out different card combinations, as there is a finite number of options players can run through.
