There are many upgrades you can put on your characters in Path of Exile 2 that will build them in unique ways, many of which are tied to different types of uncut gems. Uncut gems are used to unlock new skills, bonuses, or supports, and every gem you use is an important choice.
Uncut Spirit Gems offer unique passive skills that can be activated and don’t work like usual skills despite being on your skill list. Raging Spirits is one of these passive skills that can be incredibly powerful if you know how to use it.
How To Get Raging Spirits In Path of Exile 2
Raging Spirits is a persistent buff, unlocked in the Elemental section with an Uncut Spirit Gem. Uncut Spirit Gems are some of the more rare gems to find, dropping only by chance from strong bosses, in chests, and the occasional quest reward. While Raging Spirits can be unlocked on a few different classes, it’s by far the best on a Sorceress or Witch, depending on your build. The requirements to equip it are:
Once unlocked, Raging Spirits is activated in your list of spells, though it won’t need to be attached to your Hotbar.
How To Use Raging Spirits In Path of Exile 2
The first step in using Raging Spirits is making sure you have enough Spirit to summon the minions from the spell, which is only 30. With the skill active and Spirit ready, use any fire spell to summon Raging Spirits, to a maximum of 10. These flaming skulls will only live a few seconds but will rush and attack anything nearby on top of the damage of the spell you used to summon them.
The best combo by far is Flame Wall, as it will spawn five Raging Spirits to attack anything nearby. Projectile fire spells like Firebolt can also summon individual Raging Spirits, though area-of-effect spells such as Flame Wall can summon them much faster. Raging Spirits won’t distract enemies, and will be completely ignored outside of the damage they do to anything nearby.
Raging Spirits also deal fire damage, so upgrading your fire damage through respecing your passive skills is well worthwhile as the damage done by ten of these spirits can melt even powerful bosses. As long as you use any sort of fire spell, it’s worth getting this passive skill as it will only add your total damage per second without adding extra work or Mana.
