Slavic Magic’s Manor Lords may still be in early access, but this brilliant medieval city builder is a must-play for strategy fans – and now is the perfect time to pick it up. Thanks to Humble Bundle’s Hooded Horse Build Your Own Bundle sale, you can grab Manor Lords for its lowest price yet, alongside four other great games from the publisher at a nice discount.
Despite still being in early access, Manor Lords is easily one of the year’s best strategy games. In our Manor Lords early access review, Ian Boudreau called it a “beautiful and mechanically impressive city builder” and “one of the most charming” he’s ever played.
You act as a medieval lord who must grow and develop their settlements, managing everything from resources and the economy to the happiness of your citizens. But life as a lord isn’t all eating oversized turkey legs and going jaunts on your horse. The changing seasons are harsh, and other lords will be eying up your territory, so you need to prepare an army to defend your land – or send them out to snatch the territories of others.
Given its early access status, Manor Lords isn’t fully finished yet, but there’s plenty to sink your teeth into. Plus, picking it up now saves you from paying the full price tag later down the line. So it’s a win-win.
Thanks to Humble Bundle’s sale, you can save even more money on Manor Lords right now – and get a few more games in the process. Humble Bundle is currently hosting a Build Your Own Bundle Hooded Horse sale, where you create a bundle from a selection of the Manor Lords’ publisher’s best. The more games you add to the bundle, the bigger the overall discount: three games gets you a 10% discount, four a 15% discount, and five games gets you 20%.
Choosing five games, including Manor Lords, means you get the strategy hit for $23.39/£15.59 – the lowest price we’ve seen. Manor Lords’ usual RRP is $39.99/£34.99, and while it’s on sale right now on Humble Bundle for $27.99/£24.49, this bundle means you get a heftier discount and several other great games too, including Clansfolk, Terra Invicta, Against the Storm, and Cataclismo. If you’re looking for games similar to Manor Lords, consider bundling in Norland, Clansfolk, and some of the available Old World titles.
You don’t need to choose five games, but I’d advise doing so to get the best discount. In fact, choosing less than three games makes Manor Lords more expensive than its current sale price.
This sale runs until December 23 and is well worth taking advantage of – especially if you’re a keen city-builder fan.
Before you pick it up, be sure to check out the Manor Lords system requirements to ensure your PC can run it. Looking for more games like Manor Lords? Well, why not peruse our pick of the best city building games.
