Overwatch 2 Developer Gives Update on Missing Brigitte Skin
After the unexpected removal of Brigitte’s Medic skin from Overwatch 2, Blizzard provides an update to inform fans about the situation.
However, players have recently discovered another charming feature with Cardboard Bastion in particular. While testing the skin, Overwatch 2 fan and Redditor ChrisyNoob noticed that Bastion ejects pencils, rather than empty bullet casings, while in his Configuration: Assault form. As players expressed their delight over this detail, Overwatch 2 community manager Jodie Grace Mckaughan got in on the fun, saying “I just know those pencils are sharpened to the FINEST point.”
Overwatch 2 Cardboard Bastion Skin Pencil Ammunition
In general, fans have been impressed by the cardboard skins. Like the popular Cardboard Reinhardt Overwatch 2 skin before it, these cosmetics have special sound effects to go with their visuals, many of which players have thoroughly enjoyed. As Legendary skins, Cardboard D.Va, Brigitte, and Bastion can each be purchased in their individual bundles for 2200 Overwatch Coins, or all together in the Cardboard Mega Bundle along with Cardboard Reaper for 4400 Overwatch Coins – $22 and $44 respectively.
This new skin isn’t the only exciting thing Bastion fans have gotten in Season 14. Though it was not mentioned in any patch notes, Overwatch 2 finally gave Bastion’s A-36 Tactical Grenade a unique cube model, rather than the textureless sphere it had been using since the ability was added in his rework. The grenade currently doesn’t use any special models in Legendary skins like Cardboard Bastion, but that could change in the future.
Fans of the iconic robotic sentry also have a little more time to collect another Legendary Bastion skin for free right now. Players who watch four hours of Overwatch 2 on Twitch before December 21 can earn the Fire Engine Bastion, a delightful skin that turns both him and Ganymede into firefighters. The hero didn’t receive any buffs or nerfs in the update, but it seems like Season 14 has had plenty of cosmetic things for Bastion fans to get excited about instead.
