According to Steam, the download size is 83.7 GB at least for the pre-download. The requirements page for the game states that players must have 100 GB of storage space available. This is one of the biggest games of the year, as not too many games have reached almost 100 GB on the initial download. The file size on Xbox is reportedly 93 GB, so the download is massive across multiple platforms.
The PlayStation file size is similar, so it’s not a small game in any manner. Path of Exile 2 is not expected to be released fully until the second quarter of 2025 at least. When that happens, the game might get even larger because it will be a full game (not on Game Pass) and not just early access.
It is also highly recommended that gamers use an SSD. This storage device can improve overall performance by reducing latency and increasing read and write speeds, but it also improves access time.
