To complete the Serpent’s Chest mystery in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, players need to find three ancient keys from The Vatican, Gizeh, and Shanghai. The most essential part before attempting to retrieve the keys, is to purchase the Breathing Device/Rebreather from Tongdang near the village.

As the device is quite expensive, The Voss’s Gold Stash Fieldwork will trigger forcing Indy to travel to Voss’s Camp and steal his money, which is where you will probably find a Serpent Chest, and interacting with it will trigger the mystery.

Where To Find Ancient Vatican Key In Indiana Jones And The Great Circle

Open the Journal and travel back to The Vatican. From there, use the signs to reach the Tower of Nicholas V quickly. Enter the building and head left where you previously poured wine in front of a mural and unlocked a secret area.

Proceed ahead past the Sacred Wounds puzzle to reach the secret tomb, and then follow these steps to reach the ancient key:

  • Crawl under the gate with number II on it.
  • Head left twice down the stairs.
  • Crawl through the hole and use the whip to reach the upper platform.
  • Go through the door with an IV on top.
  • Jump down and head right.
  • Walk slowly in the water, then go left.
  • Crawl through the hole and proceed to jump down.
  • Go left under the cross then left again to reach the underground excavation site guarded by some Blackshirts.
  • Head out to the big chandelier near the broken bridge and jump into the water below.
  • Dive left and use the Breathing Device to swim through the tunnel.
  • Grab the Ancient Vatican Key from the broken jar.

Where To Find Ancient Gizeh Key In Indiana Jones And The Great Circle

Once you are back in Gizeh, travel to the Funerary Temple of Khentkawes I and head towards the elevator. Go through the door that is next to one with blue cable, then climb the stairs to find a blue power source. Head left from there and jump into the water.

Dive into a hole to the right to enter a small hidden room and then dive again into a small hole after removing the obstacle, to finally find the Ancient Gizeh Key.

Where To Find Ancient Shanghai Key In Indiana Jones And The Great Circle

Shanghai was only visited after Indy and Gina needed an escape from the Himalayas, so exploring the place shouldn’t be difficult, as the area is pretty small compared to the others. Traveling to Shanghai will place players on the rooftop, where Indy and Gina stole a plane.

Retrace your steps back across the broken houses, through the fire, and across the rooftops until you are close to the broken bridge near the river. Jump into the water and dive into the corner to remove a wooden obstacle and grab the Ancient Shanghai Key.

Now that all three ancient keys are obtained, return to Voss’s Camp in Sukhothai and follow the quest mark to unlock the Serpent’s Chest. Place all three keys and Indy will get an Ancient Relic as a reward, which completes the mystery, earning him some Adventure Points as well.
