As such, many famous and original female characters have made their way onto the hearty roster and into the hearts of DBD fans around the world. Crafted with iconic looks, in-depth backstories, and some of the game’s most useful perks, these fantastic and powerful women deserve to be given their well-earned accolades as the best characters in the game.

8 Meg Thomas

An Essential Pick For Newcomers To The Game

As one of the characters in the base game, Meg is one of the few options for those new to the game, but this does not detract from her being one of the best women survivors in Dead by Daylight. This hardened athlete is not new to running fast and far, an essential skill when fleeing for her life in the deadly trials.

Her athletic nature is reflected in her perks, which are great picks, especially for those who are new to the game and don’t have all the characters and perks unlocked. Quick and Quiet is great for slipping through the killer’s fingers, Sprint Burst grants them a boost of speed when they need it most, and Adrenaline can be the difference between life and death when the last generator is powered. Even after unlocking several more characters, chances are still that Meg will remain a popular pick.

7 Yun-Jin Lee

Strong And Independent

Yun-Jin is one of the more unique survivors in Dead by Daylight, having known the killer who was part of her DLC before he became a killer. She was the producer for his music, and took great pride in her work, often pressuring Ji-Woon to match her level of hard work and dedication.

Dead By Daylight allows players to play as their favorite killers from horror movies, along with some fresh faces. However, not all killers are equal.

What she could not have foreseen was his descent into murderous madness, incorporating the screams of his victims into his music. But even when confronted with the truth that all the incidents and murders were the fault of her artist, she felt more anger than fear at him jeopardizing everything she had worked so hard for. Yin-Jin didn’t come from money; all her fortune and fame came from her own blood, sweat, and tears. All this combined makes her one of the most resilient survivors of all.

6 Yui Kimura

A Bad-Ass Biker

Yui is one of the more hardcore female survivors in Dead by Daylight thanks to her backstory. She defied the pressures of her father to pursue a formal education and earn a job, and instead devoted herself to her true passions: Racing and maintaining bikes. Rather than cave to his pressure after he dismissed her dreams, Yui went her own way with what little money and support her grandmother gave her, making a name for herself in Nagoya.

Even grievous injuries couldn’t slow Yui down, as she was back on her bike as soon as possible. Her skills as a racer, and her hardened resolve to win, earned her many followers while operating under The Sakura 7, a group synonymous with women’s empowerment. This is all due to Yui’s tenacity and bravery, as without her none of this would have ever happened. Yui is the kind of woman that should be a role-model for girls everywhere.

5 Feng Min

A Pro Gamer With A Cocky Attitude

Feng Min is one of the more popular picks in Dead by Daylight and is mostly seen sporting a pink rabbit-eared hood. There is somewhat of a reputation tied to this character, and that particular cosmetic, and skilled Dead by Daylight gamers, which is fitting when taking into account Feng Min’s backstory.

Before playing the world’s most deadly game of hide and seek, Feng Min played in Esports tournaments, donning the moniker Shining Lion. Though her competitive nature and desire to be the best proved to be the downfall of her gaming career, it is a good asset to have when dealing with the deadly killers pursuing her in the fog. As a dedicated gamer herself, she is one of the more reliable characters in the entire DBD roster.

4 Mikaela Reid

Gifted With Magical Abilities

Mikaela’s addition to Dead by Daylight introduced a new and exciting mechanic to the game: Boons. By taking the time to bless a totem, either a dull or one active with a hex or another boon, the player and their teammates can benefit from whatever boon is activated.

These boons have waxed and waned in terms of usefulness with tweaks made through various patches, but it can’t be denied that Boon: Circle of Healing became a must-pick perk during the time of Mikaela’s release. Even now, it does not discount the fact that her character paved the way for a new kind of play, and more potential boons in the future beyond those already in the game spread between a multitude of other characters.

3 Sable Ward

Braved The Fog For The Sake Of Her Friend

Sable Ward arrived on the scene to much fanfare among the players thanks to her iconic outfits, which added a gothic punch to the game, as fans had been awaiting a character who fit this aesthetic ever since the release of Mikaela. However, there is more to this character than just killer looks, as Sable has some magical flair of her own.

The latest Dead by Daylight Survivor has turned every trial into a fashion show. Here are Sable Ward’s best looks in the game.

Known to be close friends with Mikaela, Sable is one of the few survivors who entered the Entity’s realm of her own volition. Thanks to her tireless pursuit and research, she knows it to be connected to her friend’s disappearance, and resolves to find her no matter what. It is this selfless courage that makes her character so remarkable and one of the most admirable in the entire game.

2 Haddie Kaur

One Of The More Lore-Essential Characters

Even before her formal addition as a playable character, Haddie’s name had already made its way into Dead by Daylight’s lore as one of the key characters. As a psychic investigator, she saw and sensed things that would go undetected by those without her gifts, which she used to shed light on some of these unseen mysteries. Her web series, called “Harbingers of Hell,” was instrumental in exposing the work of The Black Vale cult, who are dedicated to the Entity.

It was these investigations that eventually caused Haddie to fall into the clutches of the Entity, and fans who were familiar with the lore of Dead by Daylight at the time were excited to see such a legendary character finally become playable. Though her perks may not see as much play as others, this does little to detract from what makes Haddie’s character so amazing, as so essential to the larger story of Dead by Daylight.

1 Jill Valentine

Blast Mine Remains One Of The Game’s Most-Used Perks

A crossover that had fans excited, Jill arrived on the scene alongside Leon S Kennedy and Nemesis, all becoming popular picks. With formal S.T.A.R.S. training and after surviving the Raccoon City incident, Jill is one of the more hardened survivors in terms of combat training and experience, not that it will help her much in the fog. Even without weapons and the ability to engage in hand-to-hand combat, Jill still has the means to even the odds.

One of her perks in particular became a popular pick among players, and still sees play today. Blast Mine allows players to trap generators they have been working on so that, when a killer kicks the gen, they will be momentarily stunned and blinded, interrupting them from damaging the generator. It is immensely satisfying when it is pulled off, especially when the killer falls for it time and time again. It also kills off precious seconds to allow the player to slip away unnoticed.
