The information comes from the video published by the YouTube channel PokecaCH, which talked about the cards recently confirmed for the game. At the 2:58 mark, they present the Poke Flute card, a famous item in Pokemon lore, with which players can revive a basic monster in their opponent’s discarded card pile, and put it back on their bench. This card is well known to fans, as it was released in 1999 as part of the first Pokemon TCG expansion.

A little earlier, at the 2:27 mark, the Pikachu card is revealed, which will be the seventh focused on the franchise’s mascot that players will find in the game. Its illustration, new to the mobile game, is the same as that of a card released in 2000 with the Neo Genesis expansion, the first main set in the Neo Series of Pokemon TCG, and the first to feature Gen 2 critters.


While there is no official confirmation of when the Poke Flute card will be available in the game, speculation suggests that it will be available in the upcoming Pokemon TCG Pocket Mythical Island expansion. The new Pikachu card, meanwhile, appeared briefly in the announcement trailer for the expansion, although it wasn’t possible to see it fully. In addition, players can expect the addition of more than 80 new cards, including powerful Mew and Aerodactyl ex cards, trainer cards like Blue and Leaf, and Gen 7 Pokemon like Dhelmise, Morelull, and Marshadow.
