The Delta Force open beta is already flying on Steam. Concurrent highs have reached almost 120,000 players, as the free-to-play FPS offers something new for fans of games like Battlefield and Tarkov. With all those players, however, cheaters are unavoidable. Every online multiplayer game has them, and that’s why Delta Force developer Team Jade has made dealing with hackers a top priority now that the game is out. In the last few days over 1,000 wrongdoers have been banned, and I’m certain more will follow.
Team Jade said it was going to take more action against Delta Force cheaters with the full launch, and that’s exactly what the team has done. A new Delta Force report tells us that during the last week (between December 7 and 12), Team Jade has banned a staggering 1,107 players. Many of these accounts have been named and shamed, and are also permanently blacklisted from the new FPS game going forwards.
“As developers, we understand the importance of ensuring a safe and fun environment for Delta Force players,” Team Jade writes. “ As such, we adopt a zero-tolerance policy towards anyone found to be in violation of our game rules. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of plug-ins, illegal software, inappropriate behavior, malicious use of exploits or bugs, etc.”
“Once such behavior is discovered, we will immediately launch an investigation and take appropriate action. This includes, but is not limited to, permanent account bans, IP bans, notification inside and outside the game, etc.”
If you want to know more about Team Jade’s G.T.I Security system, the developer has already outlined its Delta Force cheater compensation and detection systems. If you lose a game or fail to extract because of cheaters in Delta Force, you’ll have all helmets, armor, backpacks, weapons, and ammo returned to you. This is just version one of the compensation system, however, and Team Jade says it will listen to feedback and improve how it works.
