MOONTON’s hit MOBA title Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has announced the location of its grand esports event. The MLBB M7 World Championship will take place in Indonesia in January 2025. The location was revealed along with a few other details regarding the event. Mobile Legends released an announcement video for the M7 host city.
MOONTON’s recently announced esports roadmap mentioned that the event will take place in January. And now, we have the location announced. With the commencement of M7 in Indonesia, this will be the second time for the country to host the highest esports event of Mobile Legends.
MLBB M7 World Championship finds home in the SEA countries
Indonesia hosted the fourth installment of the M Series World Championship, the M4. Before Indonesia, only two countries hosted the event more than once. And Indonesia is one of the major regions for MLBB esports, so it’s understandable why MOONTON didn’t take a shift to another country. However, MOONTON is trying all out to decentralize its esports events. We already witnessed the MSC 2024 in Saudi Arabia.
Mobile Legends published a teaser today for the announcement. From the M7 teaser video, the MLBB community already started gossiping about the possibilities. The video sparked several theories as well.
However, the game managed to complete 2024 with a successful end. And Indonesia already has experience hosting the event once. So, the country will surely gift another groundbreaking event.

So far, we only know the location and time of the event. There are still a lot of things that remain to be announced. We hope to receive the complete details of the event after moving into the 2025 esports year for Mobile Legends.
As we got to know the location of the M7, the MLBB M6 World Championship was going on in Malaysia by the this article was being written. And, Fnatic ONIC PH won the championship after defeating Team Liquid ID by 4-1.
