All Permanent Bonuses from the Campaign

Path of Exile II Tag Page Cover Art

Path of Exile 2 has been released into early access, providing not only a full-length campaign across 3 acts but a complete endgame system for players to grind as well. Featuring an infamously robust character customization tree enabling limitless creativity in build creation, players are able to tackle the trials of Wraeclast in whatever way they feel best fit.

Across the player’s journey through the campaign, various objectives will provide players with permanent upgrades to their character, including extra skill points, free resistance and life, and more. While some of these bonuses are provided by completing quests, many others are rewarded for killing optional bosses and completing missable interactions not recorded by a player’s quest log.

Permanent Bonuses in Cruel Difficulty

Meteor skill in PoE 2

As of early access, only three acts are currently available out of the six acts planned for the game’s full release. To compensate, the game transitions players into Cruel difficulty upon completing Act 3, allowing players to journey through a more difficult version of the campaign while retaining all their items and stats. Identical permanent bonuses are also available throughout the Cruel difficulty campaign, with only some minor adjustments, including:

  • Candlemass, The Living Rite now grants 8% maximum life instead of +20 maximum life
  • The King in the Mists no longer grants +30 spirit
  • Ignagduk, The Bog Witch now grants +40 spirit instead of +30 spirit
  • The Slithering Dead now rewards players with a choice between +10% chaos resistance, or +5 to all attributes, or 15% reduced slowing potency of debuffs on you

As Cruel difficulty is currently a placeholder for the unreleased fourth, fifth, and sixth acts, it is possible that the permanent upgrades granted in the second half of the campaign may change when they are released.
