is going to start up very soon. Bringing holiday-themed items, map changes, and other prizes to players.
While Winterfest goes on every year, some years are bigger than others. Although, this year it feels like it’s coming a little later than normal! We are still lined up to get the Fortnite Winterfest 2024 event though. Fortnite leaks point towards it coming quite soon. When exactly will be releasing?

When is Fortnite Winterfest 2024?
The next Fortnite update seems like it’ll be the start of Winterfest. We’re getting close to Epic taking its Christmas break for the year, which is normally when we get this event. We can expect the next patch to add the event, then it’ll just be a matter of waiting for the content to hit. Sometime in the week beginning December 16th is the most likely release date for Fortnite Winterfest. We’re expecting the next Fortnite update on the 17th, but it could begin as an event any day after that.
What’s Coming with Winterfest?
We’re still awaiting the launch of Fortnite Winterfest 2024, but we usually know a few details ahead of time. This year it’s been a bit more limited. However, recent years has trended towards fewer and fewer new features for Winterfest. Players don’t usually get a whole bunch of new items anymore.
Last year we got an icey grappler. But this was disabled really quickly since it was completely broken. There’s also the snow on the ground. However, the novelty of that has decreased since the new pattern for Fortnite season ends dates means we get a brand-new map just weeks before Winterfest.

Once thing is for certain, we’ll be getting some presents. Epic always does little giveaways over Christmas. At the moment there are already two free skins, like a Lego one and Mr Dappermint. However, we could see more given away with the start of Fortnite Winterfest 2024. We’ll just have to wait and see what’s planned.
