In theory, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle should be an easy 1,000 gamerscore. In practice, not so much. Sure, most of the achievement list revolves around collectibles, but they’re quite time-consuming and can require completing some tough puzzles.

Leave no stone unturned with our complete guide to Indiana Jones And The Great Circle.
Even with Adventure books, you might need help locating some of them. You’ll need to have money on hand, patience, and the willingness to revisit sections you’ve seen before, do some underwater exploring, and do some boxing on your way to unlock all the achievements. All of this leads to a challenging completion in what should be an otherwise easy game.

Learned all abilities from Adventure books. |
Despite the achievement description only naming Adventure books, you actually need various collectible types to get them all. You can get Adventure books in various ways. First, they’re found in plain sight in various locations throughout the game. Some are given as rewards for competing Mysteries, so those will take more effort. You can also buy them through one dedicated shop in each of the three main zones, plus more books to buy in the boxing area for all three.
This will take quite a bit of money, but it shouldn’t be too bad if you’re collecting everything else on the way. The hardest part will be collecting all the medicine bottles needed for six books. There are a ton of these bottles in all three zones, and the level designers annoyingly put many in front of guards. You’ll cause some noise trying to get these, so make sure you get out of there as soon as possible to avoid death.

Solved all mysteries in Sukhothai. |
Completing all the Mysteries in the first two zones, Vatican City and Gizeh, is pretty simple and straightforward. There are some tough puzzles, but nothing too complicated until you get to Sukhothai. The problem here is the Mystery called The Serpent’s Chest. To complete this Mystery, you must backtrack to Vatican City, Gizeh, and Shanghai to collect three keys to open a chest in Sukhothai.

Backtracking is a hassle here, especially if you’ve been 100 percenting everything along the way. To boot, the keys are surprisingly hard to find because they’re accessed through underwater areas using the Breathing Device. You might need a guide because finding those moveable planks isn’t easy when you can hardly see underwater.

Defeated all boxing champions. |
While 100 percenting everything as you play through the Great Circle sounds like a great idea, there’s one achievement best saved until after you beat the main story. That achievement is Tour de Force. There are three boxing areas throughout the Great Circle, and you must have the right disguise to get in, so make sure you get those first. You must face three opponents in each area.
The first opponent is always super easy, the second one can be dealt with parries, and the third one’s actually difficult. For the last opponent, you’ll need to react on the fly, switching between parries and brute-force punches until he’s down. You want to save this for later because once you’re fully leveled up, the first two boxing areas become a cakewalk. Only the third one in Sukhothai remains a challenge, so you’re best off routing that way.

Solved the Cogwheel puzzle in Sukhothai. |
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle isn’t too puzzle-heavy early on, but that just gives you a false sense of security because it gets wildly hard near the end. Case in point: the cogwheel puzzles. There are ten cogs total in Sukhothai, and you must use them to solve various cogwheel puzzles found throughout the land. There are a few easy ones, but most are brutal.

A new adventure is always intimidating, but there are a few good things to remember to ensure an efficient one.
It’s actually a very good idea to get all ten cogs first because you will need them all for some. The pathways you need to go can be so hard to figure out, especially in the puzzles with grassed-out pieces, which results in the lever getting stuck. Those, in particular, take a lot of trial and error. Once you finish them all, you’ll get your achievement and a bunch of Ancient Relics.

Collected all the Ancient Relics. |
The second most abundant collectible is the Ancient Relics. These are found practically everywhere in the three main zones. They can be found in plain sight, given as rewards in Fieldworks or Mysteries, or, most of the time, found in secret areas. Most Ancient Relics are hidden in secret areas both above ground and below.
The latter is particularly tricky because, for one, those Relics might not show up on the main map, and two, even if they appear, it can be hard to determine which underground area you must explore. In the more complex underground areas, like the final story one in Vatican City, knowing where to go to find the collectible can be tricky using the map. You’ll definitely waste some time going to the wrong places if you’re not using a guide, and make sure you have all 50 in your inventory, as that makes the achievement pop.

Collect all Journal notes in the game. |
Not only is collecting all the Journal notes the most time-consuming collectible in the game, but this achievement’s bugged, too. Like Ancient Relics, you’ll get Journal notes practically everywhere you go since you use a camera for most of them. When you have the Adventure books, finding these notes isn’t hard at all, except for a few super sneaky ones hidden in that Vatican City underground area discussed before.
When you’ve collected all the Ancient Relics, you must solve Great Circle’s final puzzle to find the last note. This four-way Ancient Relic puzzle requiring all 50 is no joke. Frankly, it can take so long to finish legitimately that you should use a guide to save time. Once completed, you should get the achievement, although some folks have 100 percent on everything in the stats, and the achievement still didn’t pop. If you’re in that group, you’ll just have to wait for a patch.
