As Jeff players continue to be menaces in battle, it’s only natural that Marvel Rivals fans are looking for ways to stop the shark from gobbling up his enemies. Fortunately, a player named DavidTenebris shared that Wolverine’s “Feral Leap” ability is actually effective against Jeff’s Ultimate ability. In a video shared by Marvel Rivals Media on Twitter, the player managed to catch the shark during his ult animation, and eventually knocked him out using Wolverine’s basic attacks.
How Wolverine’s Feral Leap Works Against Jeff the Land Shark’s Ultimate
- Jeff the Land Shark’s It’s Jeff!: An Ultimate ability that allows Jeff to dive underground and swallow nearby foes, slowly depleting their HP. After five seconds, he spits them out; players can also manually control the spitting out before the five seconds are up.
- Wolverine’s Feral Leap: He jumps forward to grab the first enemy he comes into contact with, dealing damage equal to 1% of his target’s Max Health, with an extra 0.035% damage for each point of Rage. Wolverine’s basic attack also changes to Berserk Claw Strike, which is faster and deals more damage.
In the comments below the video, many Marvel Rivals fans took note of the interaction, so they could act accordingly to counter Jeff’s Ultimate ability. One also explained that Wolverine’s Feral Leap could only work if Jeff is jumping up and spitting out heroes, since Jeff is immune to crowd control when he’s swimming underground. It will be much easier to catch him off-guard when he’s above ground during his ult.
With Marvel Rivals becoming the next big team-based hero shooter, many avid players are looking forward to more updates, like new playable Marvel heroes and maps, to improve the experience, and to refine any flaws that it might have. The jury’s still out if NetEase will buff or nerf certain characters in the future, but Jeff might be first in line if it ever happens.
