The world of Miraland in Infinity Nikki is absolutely full of exciting and adorable things for Nikki to discover during her adventures, and since its launch, the game has been highly commended for its depth of exploration and ingenuity with its outfit-crafting system. While traversing each region, it’s important for players to keep their eyes open for various unique items that can help create the next piece in Nikki’s wondrous wardrobe, and it’s not just Whimstars and Bling that help in that process. Many of the cute critters you come across provide important resources for clothing and accessories, and some are trickier to find than others.




One such elusive critter in Infinity Nikki is the Scarf Worm, which as its name suggests, is a special bug that you won’t necessarily find jumping around or flying in the air. If you need to find one or a few of these bugs, knowing where to look is half the challenge.

How to Get Scarf Worm in Infinity Nikki

The Scarf Worm is yet another adorable little Bug in Infinity Nikki that has the shape of a worm while its actual body resembles that of a brown and white scarf with a knot tied in front. Two little daisies rest on its head like a crown, and this feature is surprisingly what helps make it easier to spot in its native environment.


When it comes to finding these special bugs in Infinity Nikki, it’s important to realize first that they’re not all found in every area of the game. While some of them may be more common, others may only reside in one or two specific regions altogether. In the case of the Scarf Worm, you will only find it in Stoneville and the nearby Abandoned District, which are areas that you visit during Chapters 3, 4, and 5 of the main story. So if you haven’t reached that point yet, you’ll need to focus on completing the necessary story quests to get there.

Once you’ve gotten at least to Stoneville in the main story questline, you can start exploring the environment for new resources, including the Scarf Worm, which Louise coincidentally mentions is her all-time favorite creature. As you’d expect with a worm-type critter, you need to look not up but down on the ground for the Scarf Worm. Their tell-tale indicator is a series of exposed holes in the ground, where they’ll poke their heads out of and then dive back underground.

This whack-a-mole game they play means you’ll need to have your bug net ready for the right moment when they pop back up. Make sure you have your Afternoon Shine bug-catching outfit equipped on your Ability Wheel and hold the appropriate button while waiting for the Scarf Worm to pop up. They’ll interchange between each hole, but it’s better to just stay at one of the holes until it pops up there and catch it with your net.

Some Scarf Worm “nodes” will have even more holes present, meaning that there’s more than one Scarf Worm there for you to catch. So make sure that you’ve cleared out the node completely before moving on. You can typically find these groups of holes anywhere that exposed dirt is present in Stoneville or the Abandoned District. You can also notably find them in the fields of purple Lavenfringe flowers in Stoneville, where several Florist Sheep often graze.
