GTA 6 Gameplay Footage Has Seemingly Leaked Again

Definitive Edition Is Hiding A Texture From GTA 6

Summary

  • Oh boy, folks, it’s happening again – a new GTA 6 leak appears to have surfaced.
  • The clip only shows 30 seconds of a CCTV camera in an alleyway, but it appears to be the real deal.
  • It’s not clear if this is a remnant of the older build or a new leak entirely, but we’ll likely find out for sure soon.

A new clip showing gameplay footage of Grand Theft Auto 6 has seemingly popped up on social media, although it’s not clear if it comes from the build that leaked in 2022.

As painful as it is that we’ve gone more than a whole year since Rockstar Games finally officially announced GTA 6 to the world, let’s take a second to remember what it was like before that trailer. Despite knowing a new game was in the works, we had seen nothing official about it and only had guesswork and insider claims to go off of.

Forget GTA, Half Life Is Gaming’s Original Event Series

Grand Theft Auto 6 will be the gaming event of the 2020s, but Half-Life 3 will do something truly new.

At least, that was the case until Rockstar suffered a massive leak in September of 2022, which revealed a bunch of in-development footage of GTA 6. This not only gave us a look at the game’s two protagonists (one of which is still yet to be officially named), but confirmed Vice City as the setting and showed how detailed the world will be.

Since that huge leak revealed hours of gameplay of GTA 6, Rockstar has massively clamped down on leaks and nothing else appears to have come out from the highly-anticipated game. That was the case until earlier today, when a new clip emerged on social media that seems to have never been seen before.

The footage, which we won’t embed here but is easy enough to find as of the time of writing, appears to come from a development build of the game. In it, the camera focuses on an alleyway and highlights a CCTV camera that seems to have some function with in-game robberies. That’s really all there is to the clip, but it does show us a close look at GTA 6’s world.

Is it just me that’s a little entranced by how realistic those birds sound?!

Although there was initially some doubt as to whether the footage was real, fans noticed the location actually matches up with real life, something that Rockstar always likes to do. The car brands shown in the clip also match the world of GTA, while the Rage engine’s motion blur can also be seen as things move around.

Until Rockstar responds to the leak, we won’t know for sure, but it does look to be real and previously unseen. Since it’s a developer build, it likely comes from the batch of 2022 leaks and just hasn’t been shown until now, so don’t expect it to remain on the internet for too much longer.
