GOG has kicked off its annual Winter Sale, and with discounts on over 6,500 games, there are quite a few tempting deals here, including a long list of classic PC titles that you’ll only find at GOG–though there are plenty of big discounts on many of the latest releases as well. The GOG Winter Sale lasts until January 3, 2025.
As part of the sale, GOG is offering free games and other downloadable content daily until December 31. Right now, you can grab the adventure game The Whispered World for the low price of absolutely nothing until December 15. You can also download a set of seasonal desktop wallpapers. These deals will only be available for a limited time, so check back each day to see what’s new.
As for what’s discounted in the GOG Winter Sale, there are many great classic games available for $5 or less, including Dragon Age Origins, Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl, System Shock 2, and more. If you’re playing the recently released Soul Reaver 1+2 Remaster and want to finish out Raziel’s trilogy, be sure to grab Legacy of Kain: Defiance while it’s on sale for less than $1.
If you’re craving something more modern, Cyberpunk 2077 is on sale for $27 (was $60)%. Developer CD Projekt Red has regularly patched the game since it was first released in December 2020, and the latest update has overhauled several aspects of Cyberpunk 2077’s character customization and photo mode, allowing players to better express themselves inside of Night City. You can pair that purchase with the award-winning expansion Phantom Liberty, which is on sale for $24 ($30) and adds a substantial amount of content to the game. Other CD Project Red games are also on sale, including the enhanced versions of The Witcher and The Witcher 2 for just $1.50 and $3, respectively, while The Witcher 3’s GOTY Edition is down to $10 (was $50).
