Diablo 4 has announced a free trial of the Spiritborn class that will start on December 19 and end on January 3, 2025. Since launch, Diablo 4 has had five classes, but it was this year that this number increased with the inclusion of Spiritborn, the first new class in Blizzard’s ARPG in some time.
Spiritborn is a warrior from the Nahantu jungle who can deliver powerful combos and has poisons and dark magic in their arsenal. The class is one of the new features of Vessel of Hatred, Diablo 4‘s first expansion, which introduced new enemies, bosses, and a wide variety of loot, including legendary aspects. Although Spiritborn’s debut was one of the game’s biggest moments in 2024, the class has a catch, as it is exclusive to owners of the expansion. But to satisfy the curiosity of all players, the devs have revealed some great news.

Although Diablo Immortal exists separately from the mainline games, Blizzard should take Diablo 4 down a new route the mobile game is exploring.
Blizzard has announced a free trial of the Spiritborn that will be available from December 19 to January 3, 2025. During this period, players on Battle.net, Xbox, and PlayStation who don’t have the Vessel of Hatred expansion can play as Spiritborn and progress up to level 25, exploring the versatility of one of the game’s most mobile classes. If, after this period, players decide to purchase the expansion, all progress made during the trial will be transferred, allowing them to continue killing demons in Diablo 4 from where they left off.
How Long Does the Free Spiritborn Trial Last in Diablo 4?
- December 19 to January 3, 2025
The biggest draw to playing Spiritborn is the Spirit Guardians, a unique mechanic in which players choose a spirit for their character. There are four Guardian Spirits: the centipede, eagle, gorilla, and jaguar, and each has its own skill tree. This freedom of choice significantly impacts the gameplay and allows players to create Spiritborn builds with various play styles. One of the most talked about cases was Eagle Evade, which in the early days of Vessel of Hatred was the best Spiritborn build.
In addition to the Spiritborn free trial, Diablo 4 players will engage in exciting end-of-the-year activities. The test server was open from December 3 to 10, giving a preview of the content that will be available in Season 7. From December 17 to January 2, 2025, Slay Ride to Hell in Diablo 4 will be available, a global community event in which players will unite to kill goblins and earn rewards. In this same period, the Mother’s Blessing will be active, increasing XP and gold gains.
